I have been coming to this location for about a year, usually the staff is very friendly and helpful but last night I ran into the biggest disappointment, and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I have two Chinese Shar Peis that have recently developed a really bad food allergy. After spending almost all day at the vet with my younger dog and finding out that he can go blind from his left eye not to mention all the antibiotics that he has been put on, they can not longer have any protein that comes from chicken, which it's all they had. I was told by the vet to exchange the food for a different protein immediately so I took all the food and treats that I had purchased from this location and explained to the young lady that was helping me about the situation, she was so nice, kind and very empathetic. When I got the food that I was going to take home she tells me that I can not return one of the treats because the manager had decline it because it was open and it was half empty. I asked to speak to him and when he showed up he did not wanted to talk to me he went straight to the young lady and started speaking to her in Spanish, I'm fluently bilingual so I started speaking directly to him in Spanish explaining again the situation but he DID NOT CARE!!!! Obviously this is hurting my dogs and putting their well being in danger. It's not about the money it's about having compassion and empathy for your customers. How can this person be a manager?? His demeanor was disgusting it just made me feel like I'm not appreciated as a loyal customer! I asked for corporate number and the manager's name. His name is Ivan, he did not seem to be bothered at all by my request. Unfortunately this is the world we live on now and there's a lot of people like Ivan that have no compassion for what other people are going through, my dogs are my kids, they are my family. I keep asking myself how does a person like him works as a manager again? When he has no common sense! No good customer service, no good judgment, no good communication skills. Read moreThis has to be, top-of-the-line Pet Supermarket. In all of the State of Florida. I have had, pets for over 50 years. And now my children do. And their children. We have visited, every pet store, that probably exist, in the state of Florida. So when I make the strong statement, that this has to be the best pet, supermarket store for your pets, I think I have the authority to say this. We move to the city of North Miami, two years ago. We tried these little mom and pop pet stores. We were always disappointed, and customer care, lack of supplies, and unhealthy pets. Well we found Pet Supermarket on Biscayne Boulevard and 126th Street. We walked in, and basically celebrated. We all looked at each other, and said finally. We found a great pet store. Management here is amazing. Their employees, are outstanding. I give this location store in the city of North Miami five stars. Very clean store. Always fully stocked. They have never told me, we're sorry we don't have this item. Come back next week. We tried all the other pet stores, up and down Biscayne Boulevard. With no luck. We basically were throwing, our money away. And having our hearts and emotions torn apart, by pets oh, that we would purchase, at these mom and pop, and also corporate pet stores. I witness what happened as I was shopping at the time you were there, and you probably didn't notice but I was on the isle close to the door when you approached the manager asking for his name and even you took a picture of him without his consent. When you told him that you were going to put a review on google and the manager Ivan said OK have a good night you said in front to his employees and the customers F--- you! That's very rude, immature and inappropriate. Why don't you put on the review that you said that to him because the bathroom was out of service? Let's be clear here. If you were complaining because he said that the bathroom was out of service, then why you came back to the store? To insult the manager?
