I come here often with my family, and sometimes alone, and I have zero complaints about this place. The atmosphere and food are always consistent, making it a reliable spot for a delicious breakfast.

Today, however, they made a small mistake that turned into a shining example of excellent customer service. Our toddler had to use the facilities, and while we were away, our table was mistakenly cleaned off before we returned. As I was walking back to the table, the staff had already noticed the mistake, reordered our same plates, and were very apologetic.

Their swiftness and accountability were admirable. The entire team was great and accommodating. I wasn't upset at all—surprised, yes—but their willingness to accept accountability and make it right is something every other business should mirror. It's impressive that they cleaned everything so quickly, noticed their mistake, and corrected it before I even returned to my table.

This place will continue to be where I bring my family for a delicious and welcoming breakfast. I never have issues here, and today's experience just reinforced why I keep coming back. Best...

Food was great. Waitress was great but we definitely did NOT feel welcomed. I came in with my service/emotional support dog and was eating outside. It looked like it was about to rain and we asked our waitress that if it rained, could we go inside and sit close to the exit doors so we would be away from the main dining area. Our sweet waitress said yes it would be fine. As it started to sprinkle, we went indoors. I made my way inside with my dog while my daughter carried our food. Before I could even sit down, another female waitress said, "next time we will have to box your food up for you...because if my boss was here, she wouldn't have it." This IS the MOST RUDE and uncomfortable, ill-mannered interaction I have ever experienced. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. We were probably inside for about 7 minutes, if even, and we decided to cash out and box our food Togo. The rude waitress was constantly glaring at us while she was feverishly texting ... oblivious of how unwelcoming she made us feel. Food was great but doesn't compensate for the...

Arrived on a Sunday morning around 10am. Dined in a nice quiet, country cozy atmosphere with lots of natural lighting. Dining area was relatively full. All customers seemed pretty content. There were plenty of staff to assist but they didn't overwhelm anyone. The menu selection was typical for a country style breakfast and lunch spot but I noticed the items had some nice twists to them like my stuffed biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were truly fresh baked. Definitely not frozen. When I placed my order, I ordered 2 meals to dine in and 2 to take out. Prices are very reasonable. The wait was on the longer side but still acceptable. They brought me my take out when I was done eating. The only complaints I have is the cashier's mannerisms didn't match the atmosphere. Even though I was the only one in line to pay, his behavior seemed too rushed for the atmosphere. It was weird. Also, they didn't ask about or include utensils in my take out order. Those two issues aside, I was very pleased and...

Update! We Love the atmosphere of this diner. This is our third time coming here. We live in San Antonio and visit family at Home Town. We have now had breakfast, and brunch here. The food was great and fries were our favorite. The Monterey Ranch Chicken Wrap was very filling and offered grilled and fried chicken. I did feel that it was light on chicken and heavy on veggies. We also got the pick 2 Cali BLT with GF bread and Berry Avocado Salad. Perfectly sized portions and my wife enjoyed both. For breakfast I had the Homemade Corn Beef Hash with 2 eggs over medium (yolk was perfect), and sour dough toast. Wife had the Berry Yogurt Bowl, and my daughter had the strawberry shortcake pancakes. All portions were perfectly sized and will definitely fill you up, especially the pancakes! Needless to say we will visit here each time we are in town. They also offer a 10% Military discount which we always appreciated.

Great place for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Place was crowded inside, but outside seating, which looked really inviting, was not an option given temperatures in the mid 40s. Food was good, especially the blackened catfish. The french fries was even better, thanks to some reddish spice coating mix they were using. Prices are a bit on the higher side for the cafe food they serve - around $35-40 for two including coffee, but excluding dessert. Service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back again.
