edited : fully agree with the owner This is a great place to have fun they're just other things which I listed below. Like any other arcade it's hit or miss You have to go during certain times of the season The games are fun but honestly skeetball and the virtual bowling seem to be the only thing is worthwhile of getting value out of because the claw grabbing machines seem a bit rigged as they can't even pick up the stuffed animals that are in there. But it's like that at every arcade
This is a great place for enjoying the game rather than trying to get tickets to get prizes because the prizes require such a large amount of tickets you would need to live at the arcade in order to get even half the stuff also sadly the prizes are very outdated... For instance there are Hot Wheels tracks as prizes on the higher level also something that is probably about 5 to $10 is going to cost you about $20-$30 of gameplay to get those tickets...
The pros are that this place is enjoyable if you were playing the right games, family friendly and fun, Even fun for couples
The cons are that if you were trying to win something with tickets or any other types of prizes It's extremely difficult and again the prizes are a bit outdated
I would just suggest going to this place for a fun night out in addition to eating on the boardwalk stopping in to play a few games and then going on your way
I hope in the future that maybe better prizes are brought into the arcade for instance something simple with beach arcades I have seen are binoculars, sunglasses, beach towels, all these items as prizes whereas sadly I didn't really see anything that was quite interesting for prizes unless you were going for the sports rings which again those are a ton of tickets, along with a lot of...
Read moreOk, so if you want to go to an arcade "and" have fun, Ed's in North Wildwood is the place to go! I've been going to Wildwood since I was a kid. Back then, there were a ton of arcades, and they all were the same. Flash forward 40 years and there's only a handful of arcades left on the boardwalk, and nothing sets them apart except for one thing, EXPERIENCE! Ed's is celebrating his 40th year. He has cheap games (most are 25 or 50 cents), very nice quality prizes (if he doesn't have it, he'll order it for you), and one of the best staff's you will ever meet. I have been going to Ed's arcade since I was a kid, now I take my kid there and he has a great time, every time. Alot of that has to do with the experience he has playing the various games he can enjoy, but more importantly is the interaction he gets with the staff. Alot of reviews here indicate time and time again how helpful and friendly the staff is. Well I can honestly say as an owner of a business myself, Ed does a great job with recruiting and training. They are all nice, helpful and quick to assist you. They even offer you a drink when you've been sweating from the heat. But most important to me, they get down on one knee and talk to my son on his level. He's won numerous stuffed animals, he's spun the big wheel a few times and even had a go at the cash box! He loves the arcade more than everything else on the boardwalk, hands down. And lets face it, the majority of folks going to arcades are kids and the parents that take them there. If you are looking for a fun, safe and friendly environment to take your family, take them to Ed's. Ask for DANNY or ANGEL when you're there. They will treat you...
Read moreBest arcade on the boardwalk by a mile. An employee named Steve was especially helpful and awesome! They have the best crane selection too and they have employees that are constantly restocking and rearranging them to make it easier for people to win. Steve saw us trying to win something over and over so he came over and rearranged the prizes for us and told us whatever we won we could exchange for anything in the machine but only if we got something on our first try. Sure enough we did so he went in the back and got us what we wanted and we were able to exchange it for the prize that we actually won. They also have raffles going on constantly and their game prices are some of the best in the boardwalk too. One last awesome thing is that their crane machines aren't those old ancient ones with the yellow buttons and weak claws that have dusty lame toys in them. All of their cranes are in great condition and they are newer machines that are full of recent and popular toys. It really is the best arcade on the boardwalk especially for cranes. Everything in the picture was won in just one...
