The SoNo Collection is local to me. I had a neutral feeling before coming here a couple of times. However I do feel sad that they opened on the eve of the pandemic and I think that hurts their chances of success. It's a bit of a confusing mess to park and enter the many layers of the Mall. Some might argue with that assessment but I think it's accurate. The stores are nice/average to high-end. It's roomy for walking and I think this may work well for future endeavors when "just a shopping mall" doesn't fully work.
One of my biggest issues is the number of security personnel. The first time I went there, to eat at Yard House, I walked around the mall while waiting for the table to be ready. I was "informed" half-a-dozen times the mall would close in 30 minutes and I needed to leave. It was not polite, it was pointed. There was no signage that was overtly displayed but the lack of open stores was enough of a sign that the mall hours were over. I was just looking at the variety of stores. On a second and third visit to the mall I could see that my first visit was no fluke. As I was shopping in Bath & Body Works a mall security officer stopped to ask the store worker, who was helping me, if "everything here is ok." Wow that is uncomfortable.
As Covid-19 and the protocols begin to go away it's also troubling that there are individual protocols, store by store, and it contributes to the lack of fluidity of the mall. Well, to be honest they do call it a collection...
To be fair, when the mall first opened there was a horrible vandalism incident near Christmas time. I understand they may want a secure image but it's also a bit overkill.
Lastly, almost all of Norwalk uses an app called Park Mobile to pay for the metered parking all over town. The mall does not use that app. It also doesn't display its own app very well or have many pay stations. They prominently display a suggestion to "text to pay" which I find annoying.
In short, I find the place disappointing and not really worth the trouble. It lacks a cohesive approach and not does it really integrate with or represent well, Norwalk. I had much higher hopes. But time will tell, and I do hope that the high bar they set for themselves will be...

This modern and beautifully designed mall offers a great selection of high-end and popular retail stores, including Nordstrom, Apple, and Zara, along with many other great brands. The layout is spacious, clean, and stylish, making it a pleasure to walk around and shop.
One of the highlights of this mall is the relaxing and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The natural lighting, open spaces, and unique art installations make it stand out from traditional malls. There are also plenty of comfortable seating areas to take a break while shopping.
The dining options are excellent, with a mix of quick bites and sit-down restaurants. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee or enjoying a meal, there are plenty of great choices. The rooftop area is another fantastic feature, offering great views and a nice place to unwind.
Parking is convenient, with both garage and street options available, though it can get busy during peak hours. The staff and security are friendly, and the overall vibe of the mall is upscale yet welcoming.
If you’re in the Norwalk area, The SoNo Collection is definitely worth a visit—whether for shopping, dining, or just enjoying a nice day out....
Read moreAbsolutely DO NOT come here. This is not a Verizon store. It is a reseller for Verizon. For starters they break orders up into several orders and your credit card will flag it as its "Metro Cellular" or something generic. If anything goes wrong with your order, like as simple as a backorder, then Verizon (the actual company) will not touch the order as it's a third party. It will take you a few hours on the phone to be told this. Then the order will get frozen in limbo until you spend a hour or so in the store.
When you order, you don't pay but rather Verizon calls you back and you spend an hour on the phone confirming and setting up the order as it's not an actual Verizon order. The only way to change or make payment on an order is in person in this store, and they will make you wait. You cannot call them or set Tim win advance - just stop by and hope. And once they take the order, the salesman gets a commission and moves on so the service goes to zero.
FYI - they strong sell you on $50 to set up any new phone, on top of the $35 that Verizon charges.
Please don't spend hours of your life and the frustration on this. They may be good people, I don't know. But they are not Verizon employees and...
