If I could give NO STARS, I would. I treated BADLY at this store. I wasn’t greeted at all or acknowledged at all. NO ONE made an effort to assist me with an order I had already placed and PAID FOR! Then once I got the attention of someone, this person proceeded to assist OTHER PEOPLE that came AFTER literally having a conversation with me about why I came in the first place! When I arrived the fellas in the front were assisting others which was fine! It’s a business and they have customers. Totally get that. Didn’t get a “Hi! Welcome to Guitar Center!” Nothing. They looked at me and kept doing what they were doing. I attributed that to them helping others and didn’t pay much mind to that at first. I stood there for about 10 minutes and still no one asked if I was helped or anything. I go to another counter where they help customers and asked the Individual that was standing with NO customers at all and politely asked them to assist me with an order pickup so that I can get back home for work. They pretended like they were going to help and stated that they were help me at the counter I was just at for 10 minutes without acknowledgment. I go back to wait and stood there for 5 more minutes! The person I got to assist me started helping these other 2 girls that JUST WALKED IN and also started helping someone else that was behind me! They didn’t communicate to me if they got someone else to help or anything. Then FINALLY a fella with a ponytail assisted me.
I won’t be coming back to that establishment ever again. I was very angry and then once I got home, I felt very heartbroken. It’s bad enough that I’m acquiring these items for someone’s funeral who was very near and dear to my family and now I’m getting treated like poop in the process! It’s also ironic that they have Black American legend Jimi Hendricks plastered big as the door ON their door when you walk in. I’m making a point to mention the color of my skin as I painfully noticed the treatment of me versus the White peeps that walked in. They didn’t care to assist me at all. Since my dollars don’t matter to them, then they will...
Read moreHad my wife go into this OKC location to sell my Minimax500 bass head. Online sells for $300-350 they have two on the company site for $280-300. Guy low balled at $150 and said he couldn’t sell it for more than $250….like dude it has the brand new stickers on it still and carry bag that it stays in. Not only that but we had been there before and a lady helped my wife but it was too late so she couldn’t buy the amp. She told my wife we could get some where close. I’d be happy with $200-250 but when we went back today the lady was there but the dude that helped my wife who is a manager or shift lead…idk but he took a phone call then asked them to hold and interrupted their interaction to take over. He told the nice young lady to take the phone. Lied to my wife didn’t even check the computer just looked at his phone to see what was on their site and she said even when he ran to the back and took forever she saw him having conversations with other people not focusing on helping the customer like I get it work should be fun but the customer is always before your leisure time. But then when she told him what the other person said he rolled his eyes. I wish it wasn’t illegal to outright walk in there and punch you in the mouth for acting so sexist towards her and the other girl by interrupting their interaction and telling her to take the phone like stay in your lane my guy....
Read moreThis guitar center is eh I guess. It isnt dirty, but it has some of the worst service from a worker I have seen. There was only three, maybe four genuine workers. People who actually cared about what they were doing and working for. Hector is a terrible worker. My friend and I came in to restring his guitar and he basically shrugged us off the whole time Then, when he was taking off his strap that my friend just bought (from this Guitar Center,) he broke it. Didn’t even really look in my friends eyes and just said it would be done by tomorrow and he would get a call. Stringing a guitar doesn’t take that long, but I understand if he had other things to do. We came back the next day and were trying to pick up the guitar since he called and said it was ready. After we walked in, we talked to Hector about the payment and there was a mixup about the Tap-to-pay system, so we had to wait till later in the day to pick it up. Hector once again had a demeaning attitude and barely even looked my friend at all. Once we came back, he wasn’t at the repair area so we just waited for around 10mins for assistance. A worker then came up to us and helped. He was kind and didn’t seem too bad. Once we got home, my buddy hooked up his guitar. His guitar sounds absolutely terrible. Whatever Hector did he didn’t do it with care or respect. He is a bad worker,...
