Surf Bar — Attraction in Oklahoma City

Came here for the first time and was told they were out of blueberries 🫐 so I just ordered my son a smoothie and told them I’d try the bowls another time. They walked away from the counter after telling me the cost so I kinda thought they were coming back but didn’t (not too bad just was a little confused) so I stepped aside after paying. When the smoothie was done, girl said we have blueberries if you want something else. (Not sure 100% if a different girl or same that originally told me they were out) I told her politely no sorry I ordered something from blue dolphin since y’all were out and she seemed a little snooty and said “well, you go enjoy then.” Honestly that was what turned me off the most. I was told they were out of the fruit I wanted in my bowl so I ordered somewhere else and I would expect a polite no problem sorry we actually had some we didn’t know about and would be happy for you to try our bowl next time but she didn’t. The atmosphere inside the building is beautiful and really liked it. But I honestly don’t really have an interest to try them now because of that experience. My son’s smoothie wasn’t as flavorful...

Terrible experience and this was the second time my wife ordered from the place through door dash. The first night we ordered the bowls and protein balls were amazing. So amazing that my wife wanted to order again the next day so we did ordered two bowls and 8 protein balls. I took a case and grabbed one as I was biting into it I felt something really hard and it looks to be a piece of sharp glass or plastic. I’m just glad it was me that bit that protein ball and not my daughter. So I ran back in the room to tell my wife and make sure I wasn’t over exaggerating. My wife took pictures and called Surf Bar I’m not sure who she spoke to but he wasn’t very helpful and the only thing he seemed to be worried about was compensation which we also didn’t care anything about. We were more so worried about warning Surf Bar that the food we had was not safe and there could potentially be more of what I bit inside of more of the food. Overall I think it was great. We got 2 smoothies and the price was fair. Flavor and texture were good. My smoothie that had some strawberry was just a little tart but I think given that it’s February, that’s hard to avoid anywhere.
