Beware their in store credit card PAY IN STORE ONLY. They have an in store credit card I applied for so I would receive the discounts when using it to purchase things. I set up the online account and had been going into the store to make my payments. My wife tried making the payment this month through the online website and it wasn't the right amount so I went online and tried making another payment. They both were declined so I called customer service for the card, which is done through sychrony bank. They told me that it was due to insufficient funds. The rep said it must be my bank info I had input for the payment so, I entered it again, double checked and tried to pay. The rep said that would work and I would see it post the next day. Still hadn't gone through the next day so I went in store and the store employee told me that the 3rd payment was also declined and to make the payment with him. I made the payment and my card worked until a few days ago my wife made a purchase and then tried to make another the next day and it would not work. I called the customer service for the card through sychrony bank. It was explained to me that the account was shut down due to 3 insufficient fund return charges on my account. I do not understand why no one could explain this to me before I made the third payment or even after I made the payment in store. The solution I was given by sychrony bank was to have them do another hard credit check and reapply for the card. This is not a solution to have them leave another mark on my credit making me look bad due to an error of their online website payment program. I am just warning people who care about their credit to be careful when dealing with this company and the third party who controls your credit line. I personally will be making sure my account is up to date in store and then having my credit...
Read moreFollow-up to my recent review of JCPENNEY in Olympia. WA, located in the Capital Mall.
My negative review still stands about the Capital Mall JCPenney Salon in Olympia, WA. regarding UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES.
According to a rep for JCP. The 'reply' from the 'Owner' to my review, was actually JCPenneys' social media group. They compose and write those sympathetic and so sincere replies to negative reviewers. Not an actual salon owner. Obviously, their salons aren't 'owned' by anyone other than JCPenney.
Per the 'fake' reply, I called the number which turned out to be JCP Customer Service. I was promptly handed off to a corporate representative by the name of JODI. She doubled down by stating they continue to support the decision made by the general manager of the Capital Mall location. Someone who has never bothered to reach out or speak to me directly to hear my side of this.
Furthermore. No one has ever sought to "rectify" or offer a reasonable solution following their blatantly unfair action. Apparently, I "complained" after receiving salon services once a year" at the JCPenney Salon, in Olympia. WA. That is untrue. To be clear. When I requested a refund, I was asked to give reasons why I was seeking a refund after an awful...
Read moreI was there to purchase a suit for HOCO 2018 for my son. I had tried to ask an associate for help and was continually ignored. I figured that maybe the 2 associates didn't hear me or were too busy. Then we arrive at the cash register to pay, this is when things got even WORSE. I was in line for a running 20 minutes as there was only one person working there. Poor lady called 3 times just while I was there for help. When it was finally my turn, I had asked about a coupon from my phone that I had received. The associate said she could not honor that without prior authorization from her ILO? I believe that was the term. She called, twice. Finally an answer as I waited and had her help the other poor customers and the ILO or manager refused to honor my coupon or even come to the register. The managers response was "Nope, not doing it, who did it before for her, oh she doesn't know the name, surprise, okay, well, nope not gonna happen!" She asked the manager if she could come and help and she said nope and she said okay, can you send someone please, hello... Okay, she hung up. I was appalled. I could not believe the behavior of the managemen not only to me, but to her staff. Good luck with me...
