A bunch of scammers. I tried to return defective items that cost a total of about $25 and was only given $5 instead of the full amount. The guy working said because the item I had purchased was brand new when I bought it, and because I had opened the package, that he couldn't give me my money back! How the heck am I supposed to even find out if the supposedly 'brand new' item works or not without opening the box?! Also, for the items that I was able to return, I was told "there isn't enough money in the register to give you cash." So they wrote me a check. Are you kidding me?? If you are running a business, a retail/resale business in particular, you should probably have $200-$300 in your register at all times and a lot more in a safe or close by to your store. The check they gave me had scribbled out things on it because the guy writing it kept messing it up, and honestly I'm concerned about taking it to the bank with scribbles on it. They low balled the heck out of me, and I really wish I didn't lose $20 because of them. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at any store. I would like to say though, this wasn't the employees fault, apparently this is their store policy. I DO NOT like it though, and have never heard of anything even close to similar to this. Never going back. Sorry gaming gen, but you guys lost a customer forever unless I get...
Read moreThis was my last option and it should have been my first! After getting the run around from my carrier I discovered, the protection plan I was paying monthly on for the phone they sold me was essentially worthless because I didn't own an Iphone or a Galaxy. When I got to the counter and described my issue Aiden was immediately helpful and reassuring (unlike anyone I had spoken too from anywhere else up until this point) but was also able to identify my phone model to a T right away. The price for service was fair and cheaper than getting a new phone which wasn't what I wanted anyways, and though I did pay the rushed price (an extra $20) my phone was repaired days before I expected and they even cleaned it up for me. I can't speak for the other services regarding consoles etc, since this was my first time doing business with them (though they did have a very wide variety of obscure and retro titles as my fiancé pointed out) but the care they put into a first time customer with a somewhat obscure phone would lead me to trust any of their services and their trustworthiness. Walking out I saw a sign that read "thanks for supporting local" and I'm glad I did today. No B.S., no corporate timewasting, just good service. Also thanks to my technician "Kyle." I didn't see you but my phone is good as new, which was all I...
Read moreI had my switch repaired by gaming generations. I was told that it would be a week. I called the next week to ask about my switch and they said they there were doing tests and that it won’t be done until that day. I didn’t get a call back. I called again the next day and they said it would be done that night. I never got a call that night. I got a call the next day (it’s been 10 days not a week) and told it was ready. The guy asked me if I had a game in there and I was not sure. Then I remembered that I had one of my favorite games in there. When I went to pick it up, I asked about the game and she said that they usually tag the game to the switch. I went to check my switch and it was indeed not in there. The girl didn’t even check to see if it was in the back or not. I had my husband go back in and get the game. Apparently the techs didn’t “tag” my game with my switch because they were working on two switches at the time and they didn’t know which one belong to who. That’s just poor practice. I will probably never go to gaming generations for repairs. Not only did they take forever, but they almost got away with taking my...
