Airport Lakes Park Orlando — Attraction in Orlando

I don’t know if I’ll come to this park again. Birders are blocked from observing the lake because the boardwalk is closed. Also blocked is the trail to the north. Plus the forested land 20 feet south of the soccer field is being cleared for development. What is available is 2 soccer fields, playground, and frisbee golf course through part of the woods. Many were enjoying the frisbee track today and were polite to me (an 80 year old woman) as I wondered around, but I worried about being hit by their tosses or that I was holding up their game. I couldn’t walk anywhere but within their coarse because my usual places to walk were blocked off. You need to update your description of this park to remove the photos of the boardwalk and covered pavilion so people aren’t disappointed. Very strange little park. Went on a weekday evening with my kids while waiting for a flight to arrive. There were no kids on the playground, no families, no one waking dogs, actually I didn’t see one other woman at the park at all. There were about 30 cars in the parking lot, mostly men in drivers seats of the cars just …waiting? (Another reviewer said they could be ride share drivers but as a single woman, if you didn’t know, it’s unsettling). No hint of any sports or activities that were happening. The golf area was super overgrown and the trash had been pulled out of trash cans (I assume raccoons). The lake is a nice spot to watch planes coming in. Probably not...

I read a review about this spot and it said that its the best to see airplanes way up close...um...bring your binoculars. And a tazer for all weirdos coming out of the woods with button up shirts. And a nose clip to never breathe in the rancid smell of the bathroom. And while youre at it, trash bags to support the environment to clean up all the trash. Oh i forgot an ear plug too to zone out the shrill and screams of the cab drivers yelling at each other. I guess they go there to hang out and wait for a call/job to come in? If you make it through to the lake i guess the view is ok. I just hope you dont get to share it with "folks" hunting for defenseless...
