Today my wife, and I and my 3 adult children ate at your restaurant. We were deeply disappointed with our experience.
Our server took our order, and began with our drinks. Upon delivering our drinks, one of the sodas that we ordered was missing. We decided not to mention this, as my daughter who ordered the soda also had a glass of water. Our food order included the Appetizer sampler. The rest of us ordered breakfast. Some time elapsed after our order was taken, and our server returned to inform us that the fryer had been turned off and so no fried foods were available. Instead he offered my daughter a quesadilla. It was unclear if this was being offered as a complimentary replacement, but regardless, this was not a comparable replacement for what she wanted, so his offer was declined. There were no other meals that appealed to my daughter as a replacement for what she wanted. So instead she chose not to eat. Immediately after, our server delivered the rest of our breakfast order to the table. It is unclear why they waited until the rest of our meals were prepared for them to inform her about the issue with the fryers.
I requested to speak with the manager. She came out a couple of minutes later. I told her of our dissatisfaction, and her explanation was that she had personally turned off the fryer because the grease needed to be changed. When asked why this hadn't been done the night prior, or before the restaurant opened, she mentioned that the restaurant was not currently very busy, which is why they did it at this time. It was about 12:30pm at the time, the beginning of the lunch hour for most people. At this point I also pointed out to her the filth in the restaurant. We noticed this earlier, but decided to overlook this issue. However, in conjunction with these other issues, it seemed pertinent to mention. The manager stated that she "would see what she could do," proceeded to walk back into the kitchen, and this is the last interaction we had with her. There was no follow up from her for the duration of our meal. Our server did not return to check in on our table. We completed eating our meals with no further follow up, and no one at our table was offered refills for our beverages until we mentioned this to the server as we were ready to leave.
With all that went wrong, I would have expected an honest attempt at rectifying the issue with the fryer and the poor service, but our overall impression as we left was that no one actually cared about our concerns, possibly even actively avoiding us since they didn't want to hear our complaints. We spent $54 plus the tip.
We will not return to your store, and will certainly make sure to leave our review elsewhere regarding the poor service, poor planning, and most of all the lack of care.
I hope you know that the reason I took the time to send you this email is because my hope is that these issues will be addressed immediately so that on one else experiences what we did.
The email address on the business card for the General Manager, Nate Marshall, does not seem to be a legitimate email address, which is why this is instead being posted as a...
Read moreI don't know how many times I'm going to give this company a chance before I just accept the nostalgia outweighs the value.
We were seated pretty much immediately which was the only impressive thing they managed. The food brought to us made me question if we were really at the "International House of Pancakes" seeing as I've made better looking pancakes in the comfort of my own home.
Small side notes was orange juice just shy of $5 a glass and no more iced coffee options being offered. They have now subbed out what little variety they had for cold brew and cold brew with a vanilla cold foam...that's literally it when it comes to cold coffee.
Someone in my party ordered "Protein Power" pancakes made with whole wheat and they had the appearance of what I expected for my normal "Pancake of the Month"
When addressed with two workers, they held up the display marketing and said that everything was correct. We were even told "it tastes better than it looks" which I would accept at a friend's house serving breakfast but not in a restaurant that will upcharge me for it.
I didn't appreciate the lack of accountability and I only hope other people were not served the same pancakes as I was. If nothing else, whoever had the audacity to cook these pancakes and. STILL put them on a plate and say they were ready for service KNEW it was not right and it still arrived at my table without being questioned by the waiters and waitresses. They would then not properly address my concern, play dumb with me, and not even offer to make it right. All of this to say, I will pass on IHOP...
Read moreDisappointed in how this place has ended up. Group of 5 (3 were under age 11). Sunday afternoon around 2pm. We were able to get seated within 3 minutes, but it took over 12 minutes for someone to come take our order.
Once we were able to place our order it took around 22 minutes to get our food. During that wait our server came by and said sorry for the delay, we currently do not have a cook so we are taking turns back there trying to help out. Something that would have been good to know early on.
Server was nice and the food was okay, but definitely not worth the wait.
You could tell that busing tables was not a high priority at this location.
The price of food has definitely gone up. For a family of five (two adults and three kids) we paid around $60 not including the tip.
I'm not sure if it's at all locations or just this one but they only had the one old-fashioned syrup at the tables. I had ordered strawberry pancakes and they forgot the strawberries so I asked them if I could just get some strawberry syrup and he said he had to take my plate to the back to get it. I do miss the days when they used to have multiple syrups at the tables.
I personally felt that management was not necessarily doing their part to help the servers the best they could, but again that's just my opinion from what I could see going on in the room.
Overall I do not recommend this location if you are in a time crunch. Less than 3 minutes away is cracker barrel which I would...
