Recommend eating else where. Service sk, Managers Sk Bartenders S**k!
Now let’s talk about my experience here.
Someone recommended this place for Mexican food. I have my go to spot that never fails. Let’s give it a try
Got there and seated really fast no wait time.
The wait time was 10 mins waiting for the server to come say Hi. Drinks and apps are in
Drinks orders are in and took 20 mins to come to the table at that point to drink some water down. Abs came out fast. We ate all our appetizer before the drinks hit the table. Imagine that. Still server is MIA and entrées have not been put in yet.
Finally, entrees were put in while we sat and waited twirling, are thumbs until Entrées came out. All the food is cold steak was over cooked from medium to well-done shrimp was rubbery and cold tacos Al Pastore we’re also called sent all the food back of course 15 minutes after the server came back to the table.
Server took half of the food back, left the other half on the table, then came back said that they are remaking. Our food manager came over and apologized finish clearing the table, said that we are remaking your food. Finally, the food came back out.
They reheated the shrimp in the microwave. They reheated the tacos. The reheated the rice is same place I went back to the same place came back. They were for shrimp on the table. Now there was three chicken was rubbery, and it was already missing pieces because I had tasted it and sent it back because it was cold. Beware of this place food being cooked in the microwave.
I left this place manager comped all the meal we went over to bonefish grill and had dinner next door if you want better quality, Mexican food, Azteca D’Oro, or don Julios cheaper, and better quality food.
This is a chain restaurant and this chain location happens to be really bad. I can care less about the quality of food and service a give to...
Read moreSince my husband works for an airline, we have eaten at quite a few places near the Orlando Airport. However, we hadn't tried this one, so last night we decided it was time to try it. The ambience was nice, and the place was mostly pretty clean, although I we didn't check the bathroom during our visit.
The waitress, Gloribel, seemed sweet. She got our drink order and also gave us some water. We got iced tea, although after noticing it was $4 for a glass of tea, I'm thinking we should have stuck with water, as most restaurants are more in the $3-$3.50 range for tea. I will say the tea was brewed strong the way we like it, though.
We were considering the tacos, and my husband asked if the meat were seasoned. She said both the chicken tinga and ground beef options were seasoned.
The chips and salsa came out. The salsa was pretty tasty compared to a lot of Florida's Mexican restaurants, which is great since we spent 9 years in Texas before moving here and got used to all of the flavors and spices of Texmex out there.
We had eaten about two chips when our food arrived. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a little more time given between the delivery of the chips and our dinner. As we dug in, we found out we had been misinformed, and the meat wasn't seasoned at all. They also don't keep salt and pepper shakers on the table, for some reason. We decided the best way to season our food would be to put salsa on it (both the tacos and the rice were bland). However, when they bring the salsa out, they don't give you much at all, We had to get two more cups of salsa to sufficiently cover our food. But once the salsa was on it, the food was delicious. That's why I'm still giving the food four stars, and we would still come back again. I hope the owner sees the review and seriously considers adding seasoning...
Read moreThe first thing you experience is a difficult location. There is an entrance off of semoran, but it doesn’t feel quite right and then cutting behind feel circuitous as well. They can’t help this, but be aware and use navigation if that helps you. There is plenty of parking, so that is nice.
The food was the highlight, as you would want it to be. The queso was very good. A creamy white queso that hit all of the right notes. The chips carried the distinctive corn flavor. It was a good appetizer. The food itself was good too. I ordered the chile relleno and it was quite good. The peppers were spicier than most Anaheim or poblano peppers. I was a fan. I wasn’t sure if they added anything to give it a little extra kick. It wasn’t spicy at all, but good flavor.
The service was pretty mid. We sat with empty glasses and chip basket for a while. Eventually we asked another server to call our server. Then we had to do the same thing for the bill at the end of the meal. They just seemed too distracted, overworked, or over it to wait on us well.
Lastly is the ambiance. At first, I thought it was chill with a good visual look. Over time, like at 1:30, it turned into party level music. They kept cranking the music up and down. I am not certain why, but it made it impossibly difficult to carry a conversation, which was disappointing.
Overall, it was fine. Pricier than I would want for the detractors mentioned above. Decent food, but I am not sure it is worth the...
