Worst customer service we have ever experienced. Out for my birthday dinner which was totally ruined by every single employee we were in contact with before we walked out. Hostess is too busy texting in her phone to clean a table and chairs off that she sat us at. 10 min later we asked hostess again if someone could wipe the table so we could at least sit. Of course the hostess let us know that is not her job she will send someone over. 5 more min, still no clean table so we asked the bartender to please send someone over to wipe out table. In the mean time another co worker, perhaps the mgr? Was standing right by our table with a group of what appeared to be tgif employees, fraternizing with them so he was clearly too busy to acknowledge us or ask if anyone was helping us as we continue to wait for our table to be cleaned. About 19 min later this same employee that was just chilling with the people at the table next to us came to our table finally to tell us we must be confused they don't have servers in this outside section. We advised we we already know this, we ordered our food at the bar while we asked for the third time to get out table cleaned. This employee turned out to be MAURiCE, the mgr. After a few min if him going back and forth with us and basically accusing us of being in the wrong or "needy" all because we asked for the table that his hostess sat us at to be cleaned. After the Convo began to escalate my boyfriend and I walked out. Completely and utterly worst customer service I've ever experienced. I followed up later with a phone call to get names of the hostess, bartender and mgr only to be placed in hold by some kid named Harry who tried to tell me he can't give out the mgr name...again absurd, I then asked if u won't give me his name then place him on the phone. Finally "mgr" finally came to phone and also refused to provide his name and told me I can go to his mgr for that and just when I thought his particular "managerial" skills couldn't get worse...they did..he refused to give me the hostess or bartenders name, not once apologized for our awful service or offered any suggestions to rectify the situation. His only response as he spoke extremely unprofessionally to me was hat we walked out on $100 in food, my only reply was u are lucky it wasn't $200. Manager Maurice was completely rude, defensive, accusatory and his only response was for me to take up with his superiors....oh I will sir, I sure will..deplorable experience from the min we walked in until the time...
Read moreThis place has really gone down hill in the past few years. It used to be our go-to place for good happy hour specials and ok food. Management was solid and the staff was great. But now it's terrible. Major staff turnover and I'm guessing new (lousy) management. We walked into the bar last night and multiple vacant tables sitting uncleaned. Fifteen minutes later... tables still dirty. Not fun eating near a bunch of tables with old rib bones and other food items. How can anyone manage a restaurant and put up with dirty tables sitting uncleaned. And no, it wasn't busy - no excuse.
I truly think our server was wasted. He was rarely around and forgot everything. First, he brought me the wrong beer - about fifteen minutes after I ordered it - which sure is a long time to wait for a drink (we were sitting in the bar area!). Then, when we asked about our appetizers, since it had been about thirty-five minutes after we ordered them, I'm almost positive he ran to the computer because he had forgotten to put the order in. Then it took another ten minutes for them to arrive.
Here's more entertainment: my wife ordered a chicken dish that didn't look like anything she expected. When she mentioned it to our server, he agreed it didn't look right, so he took it away. A few minutes later... he brings it back! "The kitchen said it was prepared correctly." Wow!
Here's my quick summary of this Friday's and the overall chain: the food is mediocre - and not inexpensive for what you get - and the overall concept is tired. Management at the top clearly has no clue what they are doing. One month there's a happy hour; the next month it's gone; then it comes back. Sometimes there is the all-you-can-eat app promotion; then it's gone; then it's back. They have no clue how to bring this concept into modern times. If Friday's is still around in five years, I'd be surprised.
There are a lot of good restaurants now in this neighborhood competing for our dollars. You would think Fridays would step up its game. It hasn't. Do yourself a favor. Go to any one of the other restaurants within a mile of this place and get better service and a better meal for...
Read moreI don’t write very many negative reviews however, in this case, I need to. I was visiting Orlando to see family and I took everyone to the TGI Fridays located near the Orlando airport. This one is located at 7118 South Semoran Blvd. in Orlando. The issue was due to repeated incorrect food being delivered, it was honestly almost like we were being Pranked. My cousin's husband ordered wings in three different flavors and I ordered boneless wings in three different flavors. The amazing thing is that both orders were completely wrong. I didn’t have any of the flavors I ordered and he didn’t have any of the flavors he ordered, when we informed the waitress, she told us that she entered the order correctly and that the kitchen made a mistake. instead of actually taking the wings back they just brought us the somewhat correct sauces to pour on top of the already-seasoned wings. It took two attempts to get the correct sauces. While we were there, we saw two other families get up and walk out due to the lack of service. The manager heard the waitress, explaining how the order was incorrect more than once and the manager never walked over to check with us. This is probably the least impressed I have ever been in a chain restaurant. I don’t blame the waitress and in fact, I gave her a nice tip, I do blame the kitchen staff, who obviously have trouble understanding, basic tickets because it took two attempts to get our wings correct. I also blame management because they took zero ownership of the issue, and never once came to apologize, I feel like this was quite a sum of money that was completely wasted on a subpar meal. I will never return to this location and I highly recommend that others don’t either. I say this because as stated previously, after Multiple attempts to get an order correct I was incredulous. I saw people getting up to leave because they were being ignored in their sections, and I heard people near us complaining about how slow the service was, and how the orders were incorrect.
