Arrived on a sunny Saturday afternoon around 2pm and the place was sparsely occupied. Sat at the nearly empty bar. The first thing noticed is the huge number of beers on tap, and a very large selection of liquors and wines. I was greeting warmly and asked to use the digital menu (like most restaurants these days). I ordered an ice water and a dos sauza margarita on the rocks. It was served at my request with no salt, and I confirmed it had no sour mix or added syrups. It was very good but tasted a little sweeter than I would have expected. It was still excellent but not a purists margarita who want only tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur. My starter was the blue cheese wedge salad. The lettuce, onions, and cherry tomatoes were all fresh and good quality. The salad was a slab not a wedge but I did not mind this and enjoyed it. The blue cheese was nicely acidic but too thin without many blue cheese solids. It tasted like bottled dressing. I asked to start with the salad but it came right after the burger in my mind in the wrong order. I had the Bar Louie cheeseburger per the menu with loaded fries. At first I thought that the portions were small but they were good. The portion size was normal and given the calorie counts I was happy. I’d rather have normal portions of great food then the huge portions of food that most restaurants serve these days. It was cooked well done as ordered. The toasted brioche bun was good but not great. It was fresh but a bit like a supermarket bun not something baked on the premises. The meat was juicy and had a nice flavor and the raw onions, lettuce, and classic burger sauce all good. The tomato slice was a little thin and although ripe lacked flavor. The bar area was very open and airy with a light breeze and was a comfortable space. My meal came to ~$42 with tax and 20% tip. A little high for the quality in my opinion. The location is walkable from many of the hotels in this area on safe sidewalks and crosswalks.

Bar Louie - Orlando Semoran Visited Date: July 12, 2024 Server: Melissa I recently dined at Bar Louie located on Semoran Boulevard in Orlando and had a delightful experience. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. Service: Melissa, our server, was exceptional. She greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our visit. Her knowledge of the menu and her recommendations were spot-on. Melissa was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our drinks were always refilled and checking in on us at just the right moments. Food: • Truffle Fries: The truffle fries were a perfect start to our meal. They were crispy, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of truffle flavor. The portion was generous, and they were served hot and fresh. Each bite was a delicious blend of earthy truffle and savory fries, making it hard to stop eating them. • Parmesan Crusted Chicken: The Parmesan crusted chicken was the highlight of the meal. The chicken was cooked to perfection – juicy on the inside with a crispy, flavorful Parmesan crust on the outside. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables, which complemented the dish well. The balance of flavors and textures made this dish a standout. Overall Experience: My experience at Bar Louie was fantastic. The combination of excellent service by Melissa and the delicious food made for a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend visiting Bar Louie on Semoran Boulevard if you’re in the Orlando area. I look forward to my next visit! Rating: 5.0/5.0

Great spot to come with others, especially on happy hour! Atmosphere: Come and pick your seat! Open concept, you walk in and just sit wherever you’d like! No host needed, has that gastrobar feel, definitely a spot to watch any sports game! Service: Service was great, the waitress was very nice and has been in the past as well. Overall I can’t complain. Drinks: I highly recommend coming during the weekday after work for happy hour, definitely worth the price! Almost half off most cocktails and other drinks. This time I did have a blackberry lemonade, which was okay, had a slight medicine taste to it. In the past, I had there cocktails before and everything I had was delicious! Food: I had the hot honey chicken sandwich which was very good, but could be better if it had more of the hot honey sauce in it. My wife had the gastroburger which was alright, the flavors wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be. Verdict: If you’re looking for a great time after work with some friends/co-workers, or even to watch a game, this is the place to be. Great environment, delicious drinks and overall a great time!

Update: Amanda is making things right and cares about customer satisfaction as well as Bar Louie. Will update my rating when things are corrected.

My boyfriend and I were here for the “Breaking Bad” event; Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul promoting their new Dos Hombres alcohol. As other reviews said, the event was run poorly. There was a woman that was passing out waters to people standing in the sun, then alcohol samples. BOTH times she was passing out drinks she skipped us in the line. Literally handed drinks to the people in front of us, passed us, and handed drinks to people behind us. It seemed highly intentional and extremely rude.

We left after the event but after not seeing anywhere we wanted to eat we decided to go back to Bar Louie since the crowds were gone. We walked in and stood at the door for at least 4 minutes. There was no sign to seat ourselves so we weren’t sure. Staff members continually walked past us without saying a word. FINALLY, a woman kindly told us we could seat ourselves. Our waiter came to our table and we ordered the Calamari appetizer and two strawberry margaritas. The SMALL portion of calamari came out and we started eating it. No drinks. Calamari is almost gone, slightly spicy, no water was brought to us and still no drinks- and we did not see our waiter in all this time. The staff we could see were continuously on their phones! I made the comment to my boyfriend saying “That is literally the eighth employee I have seen on their phone…” Calamari is now gone and drinks finally arrived. Realizing we may not see the waiter for awhile again, we asked for two waters as well. No problem getting waters, but I guess we are only allowed one straw each for our margaritas- none for the waters. While waiting for our meals, the table next to us had an order of calamari brought out. It was literally TWICE as much as we got- served on a different plate. We realized it was now past 7pm meaning 1/2 price appetizers (Happy Hour) was over. So we paid half-price for HALF an order! Disingenuous! For our entrees I ordered ‘loaded tots’ with mine ($2 extra), my boyfriend had plain tots. When the meals came out, my boyfriend had more than twice the amount of tater tots as me! Yes, mine were ‘loaded’ and yummy, but $2 extra for less tots- just toppings… Seemed on par for how our visit was going. My Bourbon BBQ burger was cooked properly, but the top of my bun was rock hard, my boyfriend’s top bun was soft. The crispy onion straws on my burger were the outer layer of the onion which is like a paper wrapper- barely even edible. I didn’t hear any complaints about my boyfriend’s burger so I can only assume it was good.

All-in-all; we paid $80 for a disappointing dinner. I debated not writing this review as it has already been decided that we will NOT be back, but I felt other people may want to know some things to...

Good morning, I wanted to take a minute to share my experience at Bar Louie on 03/21/2025. We walked in ordered our food and were enjoying a lovely evening when a drunk old man walked up to the glass door and closed them which locked out the 12 customers sitting outside. A gentleman from on of the other tables got up and attempted to open the door and realized we were locked out. He knocked and another customer was kind enough to open the door. Leaving the door closed was obviously a fire hazard so when the waiter came to check on us we shared the experience and she opened the door all the way. About 5 minutes later the man came back and attempted to close the glass door again. At this moment the customer from another table and myself attempted to stop him and asked him to please keep the door open as it is unsafe to close them. The man assaulted the gentleman at the table and I asked him to please go away. Security then came and escorted him back to the bar. Security including Justin kackindall came to the gentleman's table ask started an investigation to find out what happened. All 12 customers outside let the security know what happened and let him know that we now felt unsafe and requested the man to leave and be cut off of alcohol as he was obviously too drunk. The response I got from Jack is that they couldn't kick him out because he was a regular and he said that we were aggressive. At this point we felt unsafe and decided to ask for our checks. 5 minutes later the gentleman attempted to close the door again and this time attacked our server. It sadly took 3 belligerent acts from a very drunk customer and an attack on the staff to finally get Mr. Justin to react and kick the customer out. The act was incredibly unprofessional, and discriminatory on Justin's part. The mission statement of bar louie is to have a good time while keeping patrons safe. Prioritizing the safety and experience of one regular customer jeopardized the experience of 12 customers as we all immediately left and it cleared out everyone that was sitting next to man at the bar. As someone with HR experience I would recommend a disciplinary action for the two security guards including Justin kackindall as the both of them failed to keep the customers safe and played favoritism for a regular customer. I would like a follow up on what actions were taken by the company within one week or I will file a formal complaint with BBB and contact your CEO as I also work in the hospitality industry. The man that the restaurant was defending was a man a white background and everyone else were people of color. In that moment we felt incredibly racially profiled and that is not the America we live in. I look farward to a follow up within 7 days.

Warmest...

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. My friend and I arrived around 10:30pm for dinner on Sunday evening (day before Memorial Day). We sat at the bar — which was surprisingly NOT busy especially considering it was the holiday weekend, the basketball game had just finished, and most people had already been served their food/drinks. We waited for about 8 minutes until one bartender/waitress came over (it’s important to note that we had to call her over because she was too busy holding on a conversation with 2 people who I am guessing are her friends that she had already served). My friend and I ordered two VERY simple meals, chicken tenders with fries and the All Nighter Burger with fries. We waited about 25 minutes and no food was delivered to us. Further, during that 25 minute wait, the bartender/waitress NEVER came back to check on us. We had to flag her down to ask for an update about our food and instead of her going straight to the kitchen to check on our food, she stopped and took another customers’ order.

When she finally came with our food (about 32 minutes later) it was very obvious that it had been sitting out for some time. The egg on the All Nighter Burger was hard and the yolk was dried up. My friend’s chicken tenders looked like they were reheated.

I waved over a different bartender/waiteress because ours had walked away and was AGAIN in the corner holding on a conversation with her friends and NEVER came back over to check on us. When the new bartender/waitress came over, I showed her the burger/egg and she apologized, said she’d send it back and bring a fresh one.

Let’s just say, I watched 3 people who arrived about 20-30 minutes after me and my friend get their food while I was still waiting for my “fresh” burger. And what was even more disappointing is the fact that the people who arrived after us ALSO ordered a burger and fries and got theirs instantly. The only difference is that they had excellent waiters who actually checked in on them and their food. The horrible bartender/waitress eventually came over to the section I was sat in and had absolutely no clue that the burger was sent back, probably because she was too damn busy holding on a conversation in the corner instead of checking on ALL her customers.

It finally hit nearly ONE hour. My friend had finished his food and I still didn’t have a burger. We waived over the bartender/waitress who actually was helpful and paid for only my friend’s food and left. As we were walking out the door, the horrible bartender/waitress was running out the kitchen with my burger.

Never again. And if I do, I know who NOT to get served by. I don’t blame the kitchen and the restaurant was nice. Just...
