Where the sun spills gold on patient stone, And waves hum ballads in a coastal tone, Macabre Beach waits — not grim, but grand, A tide-washed treasure on Monterey’s strand.
Seaweed drapes the sand in velvet brown, Like nature’s carpet, soft and worn down, While gulls keep watch from wooden beams, Over tides that glitter like shattered dreams.
Kayaks glide on sapphire glass, As whispers of kelp in the shallows pass, And out beyond, the white boats gleam, Framed by hills in a painter’s dream.
Rocks crouch low in the foamy spray, Where children climb and lovers stay, Each tide a page, each shell a rhyme, A poem unfolding in salt and time.
