Learning Railroad Toy and Teaching Store — Local services in Paducah

We took our niece in this store after a day at Yaya's island today. She played with many toys as a 3 year old would. She then decided she wanted to buy some Calico Critters which we were fine with. She told us what she wanted and the lady there started showing us different ones on her own when our niece expressed she wanted them. I knew nothing about these items price wise so I looked them up on toys r us there in the store on my phone and it was twenty dollars cheaper so we told her she could buy some little critters to go with her house at this store and we were going to buy the actual house at toys r us. The lady then goes to the register and rings us out and says hardly a word after being overly chatty when she thought I was about to spend 59.99 on a house. I told her thank you and she looks up and says well I'm glad she got to play with them today and walks off. Clearly she did not like that everything was not bought at her store. I wanted so badly the entire time to say I no longer wanted the critters with her very awkward silence. This will definitely be the last time we stop in...

This is absolutely the best store for teachers to find the latest teaching decor and materials! I love this store! It is so nice to shop at a store and actually see what I am getting instead of shopping online. I love supporting this local business!

This store is also a great toy store! My children have loved coming to this store since they were little and Thomas train was the new big deal! They always have the coolest toys that you can't find at a normal toy store. Plus, they have many toys out on display so that the kids can play with them and see what they like! My children are grown now, but I love going in to buy birthday presents for children that I know (and I appreciate the free gift wrap). Service is always great! I HIGHLY recommend...

I stopped at this store on a whim. We were eating close by and walked over. The store was closed; however, the owner was there and allowed me and my 4 children to come in. I was so impressed with the school materials and the the toy selection. The owner was very helpful and kind.

I really believe that shopping at a "brick and mortar" is worth spending a little extra. These businesses allow a person to look, touch and feel.
