Los Garcia — Restaurant in Paducah

So in our exploration of the Paducah Kentucky fares we stopped here. Seated right away, drinks came quickly. We did have the unfortunate experience being seated next to small, loud and seat kicking children. Fun, I know. Waiting to order at this point 15 minutes. So I'll update the final time when it happens. As for the decor, it's nothing beyond any other Mexican restaurant. So not overly noteworthy. Not terrible, not exciting. So just to order wait time was 18 minutes. Not terrible at all. 15 minutes is the industry Standard. So close.. The premium guacamole dip as arrived. And it is really nice, fresh and packed with flavor. Hands down better than the jarred salsa that arrived with the chips. On to the main dishes, everything for the Taco to the tamale was well seasoned, and delicious. The canned beans and packaged rice not so much. My first 1 star restaurant. Why? Food was mid, especially compared to other restaurants of the same genre. And while I understand accidents happen, it is how you handle it that makes the difference. My wife was burned by accident (waitress tipped over the plate as she was serving it and the hot queso spilled on my wife's arm) ok an accident, however the way it was handled was horrid at best. No manager spoke to her. No comp for even her plate. We essentially paid them to burn her... We, and the church family we were with, will likely not go here again. Need an example? We had to ask for something to even wipe her arm off or put anything on her arm (that was turning red from burn moments after). Seen burns happen before and never a place to handle it so poorly. 🤨 I asked for a chimichanga with steak and vegetables inside, even specifying which vegetables I wanted. I received a plain steak chimichanga with NO vegetables. 🤔There were long, long waits in between water refills. The waitress seemed very uninterested in our experience. I then asked if I could have a to-go order and explained that I didn’t get the vegetables in my chimichanga the first time, and would like to order another (this time hopefully the correct one). When I got home, the second chimichanga had ONLY vegetables and NO steak! 😖 I am not impressed.

I never leave a bad tip, but I will say it was VERY painful paying full price for both items and tipping the waitress for her “apathy”.
