So hopefully I will be able to change this review but my family and I will be going elsewhere for Chinese food. Today, had the misfortune of having a horrible experience. My mother and I decided to treat ourselves to Starlight, which normally we have a wonderful experience because we only order our usual which is the; chicken chow mein, egg rolls, Mongolian beef, beef broccoli, and fried chicken. Today I am congested so decided something spicy like the szechwan Chicken to get some heat to clear my sinuses, so it was my first time ever ordering this. I was at work so my mother dropped it off so I was excited for lunch. So first I thought they got my order mixed up because it was in sweet and sour sauce with mixed vegetables... it smells so sweet as well. So I called to inform that they mixed up the order but was informed that it was their szechwan Chicken. I informed that I was not happy with it and if there is a way a discount can be made or our next order can have discount (we did order there a lot, but now I don't know.) The acting manager was so rude... I understand some customers are not respectful, I get it because I have been in customer service and have had thing thrown at me and been yelled at but this customer service was just a huge disappointment and more so because I am a local and my family orders here a lot and have been. I remember eating there as a little girl. So with this gentleman's attitude being rude, non-negotiable, and "too busy" to find a solution. So if you decide to eat here be wary and ask questions of how the dish is made because "they make theirs differently and they don't know what else to tell you" (yes, that was their quote.) But from my experience the safest would be what I listed earlier in my review and then...
Read moreI love chinese food so despite of this store having lots of 3 stars, i still tried it. Coz some people might just be ove exagerating, but after i experience it, i think it deserve 2 stars. Me and my fam came from a trip to horshoe bend and we went straight here to order food for our late lunch. I ordered 4 items, i even showed it to the asian who took my order. It was pot stickers, beef chow mein, shrip fried rice and garlic chicken. I didnt check it when they hand me my orders, which is my fault that i didnt. I should have. This is a big lesson to open up all your food orders. Dont trust them. We all make mistakes. The garlic chicken was not in the plastic bag, but instead, i got a vegetable almost look like chop suey, with plain white rice. I was so disappointed coz i was craving for garlic chicken. I called them and i think the owner lied to me that it was a garlic chicken so that they dont need to replace it. This was not a freakin garlic chicken they are liars. Im so disappointed right now and i wouldnt recommend their store. I attached a picture of the said “garlic chicken” this is not the firstime i ordered at a chinese store so i know the were lying to me that this is a...

Rarely I am motivated enough to leave a descriptive review. The 'Chinese and American', together as a name should have been warning enough. I don't know about the quality of the American part of the menu, but they really need a new Chinese cook. I shudder to refer the current person as a chef! This was by far the worst food I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. And I have had a few. Also annoyingly they just give you a 'guest check' without any breakup of charges. Since I felt it did not look right, the cashier explained they may have added on the tip. What percentage, I have no idea, but I am inclined to say 20% based on the price recollection from the menu. A fairly decent place deserves 20% and more. But the quality of the food and mediocre service at this joint would struggle to earn even 10%. No wonder they just add the tip...
