Page Boy Motel — Hotel in Page

THEY EARNED 3.7 STARS.... THIS IS NO LONGER THE PAGE BOY. IT IS THE LAKE POWELL CANYON INN WHICH IS THE LOWEST RATED HOTEL IN THE CITY OF PAGE. THERE'S A REASON FOR THAT.

So a preface. 3 YEARS AGO, I stayed at this dump because well, it's cheap and why pay hundreds for only a room I wasn't going to be in except to sleep. I was double charged at that time. Whether that was resolved or not I don't know because well, it was 3 YEARS AGO and the price matched the accommodations. In the text message exchange with the manager (Roberta) I said I'd never stay there again. Well, that was incorrect because I've stayed there several times since. Fast forward to today. 1 Day before I was to arrive for a 4 night stay so I could be with my daughter for her birthday and what does the manager (Roberta) do? Cancels my reservation because of a text 3 years ago. Oh, the best part is she tried to call first to inform me that I would have the same room for both reservations (One was made separately). But I didn't answer so she sent a text to just cancel it citing the exchange from 3 YEARS AGO. If you want cheap rooms with 1970s decor that are run down and easy to break into, this is the dump for you. If not, spend another $50 and go somewhere else but whatever you do, don't complain because that'll come back to get ya 3+ years later. :-) AND definitely keep your belongings locked in your vehicle because last time I stayed there, the door didn't even lock, the AC was as loud as a blender, the bathroom looked like it had mold and I've had bigger showers in a travel trailer; and let's just say the staff doesn't give that appeal of confidence or safety that they won't steal your stuff and then play the "Wasn't Us" game.

Best of all, this high quality classy manager told me to go ahead and leave a review. Obviously, they don't care which is what you'd expect from a dump. You get what you pay for.

For the most part my stay was pleasant. The rooms were clean. MOST of the staff was respectful. The reason I gave this place a 1 star was simply because of how poor the customer service was. In all fairness it was only one lady in particular. THE RED HEADED LADY ROBERTA WAS THE RUDEST LADY I'VE ENCOUNTERED IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS. This place has a No Pet policy which I understand and respect, but my coworker had to park his car in a total different parking lot, in the shade just so he could keep his dog out of the heat. I understand policy is policy, I err it. But he didn't stay the night, He left at midnight and drove back to Vegas .I'm sure you're wondering why I'm making this a big issue.. Well reason being, I stayed an additional night and this woman interrogated me in the lobby the following morning and told me to tell my "little friend" that she decided to charge his card because she ASSUMED the dog stayed the night. She blatantly lied through her teeth.. The worst part of it all is I actually told him to bring his dog in because I felt bad for her and he refused to break their policy, but yet this woman decided to charge him the following day, after he has already left, but didn't have the nerve to bring it to his attention. it's a fair assessment to say this woman has no experience in customer service. Sometimes it seems like people pull random names out of a hat when it comes to getting hired somewhere. She doesn't deserve to work here. If she wanted to walk around and hate life and be miserable, she should have applied at Burger king where she can "have it her way"I apologize for ranting, and I hope this review doesn't dictate where you stay, because a lot of the ladies here were sweet. I am writing in regards to a horrible customer service experience by Lake Canyon Hotel who committed FRAUD by charging my credit card without my consent. I booked the room thru www.booking.com||I checked into the Lake Canyon Hotel on Thursday, May 30th in Page, Arizona.||Here is when the issues developed.||1) We had no hot water and they told us to let the water run for an hour.||2) We did as instructed and still had no hot water, THEY WOULD NOT GIVE US A NEW ROOM. ||3) Friday morning, woke up to NO hot water, a toilet that ran all night and an air conditioning unit that rattled all night.||4) I went to the front desk and requested a new room with hot water, once again they would not give us a new room. ||5) I told them without hot water, I would be leaving the hotel. A gentleman that I met the night before even pointed out to the hotel that they were being unreasonable and that I needed a room with hot water, the front desk guy told us no.||6) They called the police on me, I met with the officer, he did not act surprised that we did not have hot water and even pointed out how the toilet was running. I told him we were leaving the hotel, he told us the hotel no longer wanted us to stay.||7) I called booking.com and told them the story from above, they said they would refund my money and apply it to a new hotel that we would stay in that night.||8) Lake Canyon Inn took my credit card information at check in. I booked the room thru booking.com and not the hotel. They also cancelled my reservation BUT charged my credit card for the 2 nights, THAT IS FRAUD. I hope you prosecute these people to the fullest.||9) You can see they have done this...
