How this place doesn’t have a solid 5 stars is a sad atrocity. Seriously though, I am going to make a very bold claim right here and right now, this is THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN RESTAURANT. I’m a huge fan of fried chicken and I’ve had some amazing fried chicken in Savannah, GA - Nashville, TN and Austin, TX.. none of those beat what I had here at Birdhouse. We got a variety of flavors but ultimately the Eddie’s Special beat out the other flavors they offer as it had the perfect balance.

All of the food was extremely fresh and flavorful and I cannot stress that enough. The exterior of the chicken breast, thigh and wing had a crunchy texture with spices and a light hint of sweetness. The chicken tenders were dusted with spices and super tender and meaty.

The sides, the mash potatoes with gravy were my favorite. The mac and cheese was a close second and it had crushed Frito chips on top as a garnish that added a very nice texture and flavor to the Mac and cheese. The fries were super fresh and crunchy. The donut holes were a new item to the menu and were a perfect balance for desert.

The staff and location: staff was amazing and helpful. Owner was very involved and curious to know your thoughts which is ALWAYS great. Location was very central and couldn’t be better after a day full of exercise and activity in the surrounding attractions.

Our big family agreed that this was the best food we ate in the area! Our party of 10 arrived around 8pm and luckily we got a big table right away. We ordered & paid at the cashier then the server brought the food to our table. Utensils, water, and sauces are self-served. The food came out pretty quick (around 10 mins).

12 pcs mix (mix of spicy & honey butter sauce): delicious! The fried chicken pieces were huge! It was crunchy on the outside but juicy on the inside. The meat was flavorful. The spicy sauce was pretty spicy but I like it. The honey butter sauce was good too - a tasty combo of sweet & buttery. chicken sandwich: the brioche bun was soft & buttery. The fried chicken piece was big & tasty (crunchy yet juicy inside). The sauce was complemented the sandwich. cbr salad: good. The portion was big. The same delicious fried chicken pieces as the sandwich. coleslaw: good and creamy mac & cheese: good and cheesy. Our cousins loved it. fries: you have to get it!
