Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe booked a $750-minimum table on the lounge level, which I'd definitely consider worth the price. The level was EXTREMELY crowded by midnight, and our section practically empty. Plus, the DJ on the lounge level was playing some seriously bumping hip-hop remixes. I found it more fun to be there than watching Steve Aoki.
The booking experience was straightforward, though rather than booking with their webform my contact was Carlos. I'm glad that I called instead of just booking through the form--my questions were answered pretty easily, and when we got in line Carlos came over and helped get us squared away.
However, there were some serious issues once we got inside. First and foremost, we were initially billed as the wrong person. This led to a lot of confusion as I'd just signed for about $1,200 in charges across 3 different receipts (club charge, the bottle itself, and gratuity were, for some reason, all separate bills). Trying to resolve this issue when screaming as loud as possible makes you barely audible was even harder.
Of course, we thought we had it sorted but it turns out it wasn't, meaning I was trying to resolve which billing was correct AGAIN while having had a few drinks. We were putting a lot of trust in the club since I'd also had to initial every charge to confirm it and they weren't voiding receipts in front of me, so I was quite wary I'd just signed for double our order. For some reason, their credit card readers didn't work in our section, so the server would disappear with my card and machine for 20 minutes to go process our payment, adding further confusion and no small amount of frustration and we'd sit idly waiting for them when we tried to close out.
Most frustrating though, there was never a server around. Maybe it had to do with the fact that we were the only group in our section most of the time, so they moved our section's server to another area, but even when we wanted to order another bottle or get some refills on mixers, we'd go 45-60 minutes between seeing a staff member at all, and usually it was a VERY frustrated looking floor manager who seemed to just be trying to find a server in the first place. I thought maybe they thought they'd make more on tips elsewhere, but we had to pay gratuity up front (what?) and I guess they thought my 30% wasn't good enough. Given the response, I regret my assumption that a high tip would ensure good service.
I guess the silver lining was that because service was so bad I remained merely buzzed, instead of drunk, and therefore avoided my impulses to buy yet more bottles?
The last thing was the men's room on the 3rd floor was comically dark. I want to say the lights weren't working, because there's "moody darkness" and there's "3 of the 4 urinals are in blackness. I hope you don't mind peeing blind." When I cracked a joke about how it felt like I was going to get jumped back there, but seriously turn on some lights, the bathroom attendant said I was afraid of the dark. A weird...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHakkasan is always a go to but you have to know the best way to go. Go before 10:30. š„ Get in line and try to get in an invite list maybe use an application like Eventbrite. That way you wonāt pay to get in.
If you are a lady , some clubs offer 1 hour of free drinks, you just have to check but the drinks are very limited like house vodka and soda or house tequila and lime. They done pour shorts or anything name brand. So, if you want something specific you have to pay the premium which runs around $15-$30 depending on what youāre drinking or if itās a double or top shelf. Just a water is about $10. Be prepared to tip. $3-$5 per drink or more.
The bartenders split the tips but they try to really hustle as fast as possible. If you tip they sometimes make the drink a bit stronger but mostly they give a very light pour. I am fairly sure this is advised by the bar management so you canāt really blame the bar or wait/server staff. Just try to put yourself in their position. Dealing with a crowded far bar full of mostly difficult people. Rough. šāāļø
Most of the DJās are truly talented and enjoyable to dance to, but if you want even a chance to get into the dance floor either go on an off night or get there before 11 pm. That means inside and secure your spot in the dance floor. It is body to body and no room to move.
People in the floor by the DJ are pretty territorial about their spot because they probably earned it by coming in early. Once in awhile there is a very entitled group or person that shoves people out of the way rudely and pushes their way to the front. Thus is unacceptable and occasionally causes a fight or just a bad vibe or scene. These are āvisitorsā. Locals know that is not okay to do. Ever.
99% of the time all is wonderful but donāt count on the security to do much. They really only hold the ropes and make sure no one undeserving gets passed to the VIP or booth rental areas.
I will say some of the most amazing displays of talent Iāve seen have been in the clubs in Vegas. Dua Lipa & Timmy Trumpet šŗ were incredible. I thought Marshmello was overrated and it that really shocked me. Steve Aioki tends to start really late but his openers are a smash š„!! Sooo, who cares??
Just go and if anyone is drama- MOVE away.
I saw š an older lady dive on the floor for a dropped wad of money. šµ She almost chipped a tooth. We locked eyes and she saw my horror and didnāt give two **cks.
So, keep in mind that it is dog eat dog. People are drunk, & high, on vacation and might think you are eye balling their dance partner who is pretending to be sucking an air ding a ling. But HE doesnāt know that. So donāt waste your time explaining. Just apologize and move away. A gay dude swore I was after his man I didnāt even see ever. I had to move like 4 times before I lost his glare. It was off putting. However, I survived and had a great time. Remember your goal: have a...
