Gallery MAR — Attraction in Park City

I really enjoy visiting Gallery MAR when I am in town skiing at Deer Valley. I look forward to coming into Park City and visiting the various art galleries the town has to offer. Gallery MAR is my favorite. Each time I come I discover new artists and they have an extensive inventory of works by Hunt Slonem, one of my all time favorite contemporary painters. From the very small to very large pieces, if you are a collector of his work you most certainly will find something to acquire here and each time I have visited they have new pieces by Hunt available for sale. The curators are always helpful and friendly. They give you plenty of time and space to view the works at your leisure without interruption but are there to help with any questions or provide any assistance. My first time in Park City, and Gallery Mar was my first art gallery. Visiting galleries is one of my fave things to do in new cities, and Gallery Mar did not disappoint. First—I was greeted the moment I stepped foot in the door by the owner, Mar, who was lovely. Second—she has curated an amazing collection of works by some very talented artists—including one of my personal favorites Jylian Gustlin. I could have spent the entire afternoon wandering the gallery, admiring the pieces, and talking with Mar who was very warm and welcoming. I went in with a friend looking for an art piece for my living room and was not greeted first off. I didn't think much of it until an older couple came in looking for the same thing and the girl there was very intentive to them. She did not even acknowledge us. So we didn't end up buying anything, but went to another shop on main street.
