Went to check out with a hoodie that was on sale. The cashier looked at the price and without scanning it decided that the price listed on the tag was too low to be correct. She proceeded to check the price on her machine and it appeared as listed on the tag. She asked some of the other cashiers and they told her to sell it as is. Despite the item ringing up at the listed price and the advice of the other coworkers, she refused to let me buy it for that price. She told one of the other employees to find another hoodie to compare prices. The second employee said it was the last one on the rack and came back with a different hoodie (different style and branding) and said they would charge me the price listed on the "similar" hoodie. The hoodie she brought up was double the price. I ask why the price was being changed when the hoodie I wanted had a valid price tag. They refused to let me buy the hoodie at the ticketed price and simply replied that they believed the price was wrong. Since when is a customer penalized for a company error? Or when did employees start changing...
Read moreConsistently one of the worst customer service experiences. During the holidays they gave us a hard time for not having a receipt for a Christmas Gift it was a Hoodie and a Pair of Gloves. They were even more suspicious because we didn't have a gift receipt either. Sorry our grandmother didn't give us receipts. My wife used her ID for the Store Credit and I went in today to buy clothes for work and I was refused because its under my wifes name. Sorry that it is a policy, but just explain it to me, offer to hold my clothes so I can come back later or another day. Dont just look me up and down and decide, no, not for you, no. That is all the manager had to say. Then the cashier just moved on ok so credit? No, sorry I am not buying these without the store credit, that was the only reason for the visit. Each time I go its always a comedy of errors. I usually never complain, but I didn't feel good as a customer their...
Read moreThis review is dedicated to Ryan at the Marshalls in Parsippany. During my visit, Ryan personally came to me while looking at furniture to ensure that I was doing okay, and inquired if I needed any help. After perusing the furniture department, I went with a large entryway table. With having a small car, I was nervous that the piece wouldn't fit. When Ryan was called to help out, he realized my car was a little too small, and went out of his way to ensure that I went home with the piece. He even took it apart to get it in for me. He handled the item with care along with my car, and continuously complimented the piece as well as my car. I was so impressed with the customer service, I went to tip Ryan. However he let me know that he was unable to accept tips but he was happy to help. As an individual in the customer service industry, the customer service from Ryan at Marshalls...
