Update: The lady who claimed she was the manager and no oneās above her, isnāt the manager. Sheās the assistant.
Purchased a pot at Homegoods around closing time on March 2. It was regular price even though it had a chip, which I already saw before purchase. I took a photo of the lid and pot in the day time of March 3.
Later on, I chose to return this because I couldnāt get over the chip. I returned it to the same HomeGoods I purchased it from, and the manager inadvertently accused us of trying to return a chipped lid that she knows definitely wasnāt there when we purchased it, and refused the return. She said there is no way she sold this chipped item without adding a discount. Well, she did sell it to us, and I have a date stamped screenshot of the photo I took, so that says a lot about the type of manager she is: irresponsible, forgetful, and a liar.
The photos I attached, proves this was purchased with the chip⦠because thereās no way a chip would form overnight. This is now the 3rd issue Iāve had with this same manager. She claims there is no way she sells damaged items without putting it on clearance⦠yet, this is same manager who sold me a food stool that had so many large chunks broken off it, yet it had no reduced rate red tag, that I had to be the one to ask if they can add any discount. 1 of the top 5 incompetent managers Iāve dealt with at TJX...

I said NO & the color of the cushion is faded coz that was the style of it & it still has the tag & looks clean, new & bulky as a cushion coz if it was used it wouldnt look like that. And besides the item was just purchased a week ago. I returned it coz it wasnt the right size. That cashier was very hesitant of accepting my item that she called her manager to check which eventually she said ok. This is the first time that I returned an item of less than $10 that I was asked too many questions when most of the time it will just be accepted as long as it has the original receipt, tags & in new condition. I dont know why this stupid cashier was acting like that. I was planning of doing shopping there after I did my transaction but I was pissed off that I just left & I wont be shopping in this store anymore. Homegoods needs to train their cashier for good...
