I hate to write a negative review, specially a long one but if no one’s willing to share their experiences, we have a 5 star food and service reviews from everywhere which is not fair for people visiting Paso First of all the Waitress did not know which fish was farmed , wild , or previously frozen. Secondly the wine menu was very limited considering you are in Paso , offering Only 5 red selection by the glass which they were out of 2 of them already . As for food : the Fish was broiled with vegetables, absolutely had no taste . We asked for , olive oil which did not taste or smell like olive oil “ was either a blend or vegetable oil , lemon , salt and pepper so we can add a bid of tastes. . if you are looking for great fish experience, this is definitely not the place . We are foodie couple so we are constantly eating out and traveling. My wife did not like the glass of wine I ordered so I told the waitress , she got visibly upset and responded “ but you tasted it first before ordering “. This was not the response I was expecting, so I politely responded, yes I tasted it while she was in the restroom and i noticed she had not touched her glass and is still full and she clearly did not like it , I am ok but she is not , could we get something else perhaps . She kept responding again that but you tried it first , at this point a gentleman from behind counter notice our conversation and came over . we shared our experience and gave him my credit card , told him not looking for freebies but wanted to share our experience. he said no problem , I will take care of it , not knowing what that meant . A few minutes later a lady came by and literally threw our credit card with the charged slip on the table to sign , charging us fully for both glass of wines which one was visibly not touched .no explanation , no nothing . By this time I was starting to get pissed off so I asked another waiter , who was the lady that throw our credit card & copy of bill at our tables, he responded “ oh she is the owner “. So our waitress and gentleman we talked to were not around , so I asked the waiter could we have a word with the owner or the gentleman we talked already . At this time the “ owner lady “ came by and started cursing at us in Spanish only . Not a word in English , no apology , no conversation as to how was your experience? not sure why she reacted like that . I know a bid Spanish so I could tell she was not happy with us for whatever reason we complained about the wine , even though we had no interaction with her whatsoever and had paid for everything fully . . We signed our slip , paid and left but what a horrible experience. What a terrible attitude from the owner . Only thing we can think is the waitress must of have been a daughter or family member that had told her our experience which obviously she did not like . Would not go back under any circumstances . With many absolutely wonderful restaurants in Paso. Try the fish and you will say oh...

Was in the area for the weekend. My absolute must have when by the beach is clam chowder so wherever we would choose to eat had to have some! However, I also had to think about the rest of the fam bam😅 I decided to go here because they did, in fact, have clam chowder. However, other requests were Italian food and anything but burgers. After looking at the reviews, this place seemed to fit all requests! It was about a 10 minute drive from where we were. We got there after 7:30 and found a parking space within five minutes. The whole area was busy! The restaurant is nestled in between many other restaurants in the vacinity. It is small so depending on their busy time, you'll probably have to wait a bit. Since we arrived after 730, our wait was less than 10 minutes. At first, once we got the menu, we were concerned that we wouldn't find a plate our 9 yr old would like. The menu was simple but the selections were a bit fancy for our child's liking. We told our concern to our waitress. Thankfully, they were able to make spaghetti and what kid doesn't like spaghetti?! Once we got that settled, the rest of us decided to get clam chowder, salmon salad, filet mignon, and seafood soup. Everyone loved their food! The clam chowder could have been more creamy but taste was on point! My very picky steak eater of a husband was impressed with their filet mignon. He did the butter knife test and the steak melted under the knife 👌🤌 The seafood was delicious and packed with flavor. I was so full from just the clam chowder that I didn't have room for my salad but the salmon was delicious (I picked some off to taste 😅). The service was great and our waitress got a 20% tip because she did so well. Since the place was small and quaint, it's hard to not be close to other patrons and it was pretty loud. But honestly, that was my only gripe and that's just a personal preference. In the end, this place was mama-approved! Would recommend and will come back if we're...

Unsatisfying... I was torn between giving 2 or 3 stars. I have been wanting to try this place for a while but you have to make a reservation and we're just too spontaneous for reservations. I had very high hopes for this restaurant and for the price point, it didn't live up to my expectations. With tax, it was $123 for 2 conservatively priced meal choices, 1 appetizer and a coke.

They start you off with a tiny basket of bread which was good, but just enough for one person, and our waitress didn't offer a second basket when ours was empty. The menu says they give you 2 complimentary baskets so we asked for a second and she was happy to bring one.

We ordered the fried calamari for our appetizer which wasn't the best I've had but we enjoyed it. Not over salted which was nice. It's a calamari steak that they slice after it'scooked. I like it better when it's sliced before it's breaded and fried but that's just my preference.

For dinner, I ordered the Scampi and Scallops with liguine. It came with two scallops and 4 or 5 large shrimp and lots of capers and butter. It was too rich and salty for me.

My husband ordered the seafood pasta which had almost the same flavor profile as mine but had a bunch of bay scallops, shrimp, some mussels, clams and other fish. He said it was good but he's had better. That's his go to dish whenever it's offered on a menu.

The atmosphere is very loud and a bit chaotic. Not relaxing like I expected. Our waitress only had time to give us basic attention. She never refilled our water and I had to ask for more. She barely spoke to us. Our experience was not special at all.

My husband thought it was good enough to revisit in a year but I don't think I want to try it again....

Catch Sea Food Bar & Grill offers a delightful seafood dining experience with a few notable highlights. First and foremost, the oysters at Catch Sea Food Bar & Grill were exceptional, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to delivering top-notch, fresh seafood. The oysters were succulent, brimming with flavor, and truly a highlight of the meal. Parking was convenient, primarily available on the street, making it easily accessible for patrons. This added to the overall positive experience, ensuring a hassle-free arrival. One standout dish was the clam pasta, which was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, showcasing the high quality and freshness of the ingredients used. The clams were tender and infused the dish with a delightful seafood essence. The ambiance of Catch Sea Food Bar & Grill was pleasant, offering a good vibe for a seafood restaurant. However, the limited space might be a drawback, as it could get a bit crowded during peak hours, impacting the overall comfort and privacy for diners. In summary, Catch Sea Food Bar & Grill impresses with its outstanding oysters and delicious clam pasta, making it a notable choice for seafood enthusiasts. While the parking and vibe were positive, the limited space might warrant reservations or a visit during off-peak hours for a more relaxed dining experience.
