See's Candies — Attraction in Paso Robles

I visit this store several times a year and have always had great customer service, until tonight anyway! I understand every store has a policy concerning COVID-19, but the assistant manager, whoI have never seen in there is out of control with enforcing their rules!! First of all, when my daughter, her friend and I arrived at the store, there were only two people inside who were actually checking out, yet he would only allow 2 of us to go in. Considering I was the one making the main purchase, we decided that I would go in alone while the girls stood out in the cold, instead of leaving just one by herself as he expected. Once the girls were allowed to come in, he constantly harped, no, he constantly HARASSED us about keeping our masks all the way to the top of their noses! My daughter and her friend are 16, but they are both small girls with very small faces, so the masks tend to slip down at times. I myself have the same problem, and if I wear the mask all the way up, it literally covers part of my eyes! I also have pretty extreme anxiety and claustrophobia from mask wearing, yet I still follow the rules and wear one no matter how miserable it makes me. This man harassed the girls five or six times in the short period we were in there, telling them repeatedly to pull they’re masks up. At one point, he actually came up to my daughter’s friend and told her to pull her mask up, when you could clearly see that it was already all the way already up!! He actually pushed me to the point where I finally spoke up and told him to back off and leave us alone, but he couldn’t do that. Instead, he argued and talked over me like a male chauvinistic pig! I cannot believe this person is an assistant manager as he was so unbelievably rude and disgusting towards us. I couldn’t even finish my shopping and decided to check out and come back another time when he was not there. As I was checking out, I asked the lady who was helping me for the managers name and he literally YELLED out something about who I can call to complain to! He was so loud that I had to turn around (he had been standing at the counter right by the door) and tell him to be quiet so I can here what the lady was trying to say to me. He then brought me a slip of paper with a phone number for complaints, only when you call the number, all it allows you to to do is to leave your “feedback” on a recorded line! This wannabe mall cop was absolutely out of line and it was quite obvious that he enjoys this “power” over the customers. He is a disgrace to the See’s Candy company and I will absolutely be bringing his behavior up to not only the store manager, but I will also be asking for the contact info for her higher up. Again, I understand there are policies, and for good reason, but I am pretty sure this company does not condone this type...

Hard to find location, but soooo worth it. Huge selection friendly staff always clean and wonderful. I love this store. We live in South county and drive to this store just because of how wonderful they are. Also because they are newer they often have sales and deals the others don't. The staff are more concerned with making you happy than they are with just selling you stuff. Seasonal specials almost every month. See's really has some of my favorite chocolate. Though they are a little more pricey, their chocolates are superior in quality, flavor, and textures. The holidays specials they do like the St.Patricks Devinity Potato and the current Scotch Coffee Mallow are so tasty and delightful!! I want them to be available more often than their seasons but they are worth the wait.
