100% would not stay there again and had I not wanted to avoid a fight or struggle with getting a different (& likely way more expensive) hotel, I would've left. Pros: They've got security guards on site. The Staff were polite if standoffish. Cons: The area makes the Staff feel the need for two armed guards on site everyday. The hotel is not easily accessible but that's mostly due to the way the city streets are setup. When attempting to check in they couldn't find my reservation by name or reservation number. It took them searching several minutes to eventually find it. The entire hotel is run down with carpets thread bare and dim lighting. My room was very small which wasn't a big deal but no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. There was definitely no breakfast despite both the website & their hotel sign stating a continental was available every day. There's a thick layer of dust on everything with spill stains down the sides of furniture. The bedding smells like cigarettes and was covered in burn marks. Actually the entire room had a funk to it, some cross between cigarettes & damp earth. The bathroom was in a poor state with mold all over the tub, the sink stopper wasn't properly connected, there's no vent fan so the air fogs up and aids in mold growth, and the towels are so small you can't wrap it around a small woman. All of the room floors were sticky so I wore shoes or stepped on the towels I laid down after showers. There were also small brown flying bugs primarily in/ around the bathroom. The walls were also paper thin & you could hear the heated arguments between customers & security, someone's Sunday church program, and the fights about baby momma. It was $347.40 for three nights in a non smoking room or $115.80/night which was more than what was posted online. There's also no late check out. I'm sure it's a steal for such an expensive area however not worth it if you have a choice. Next time I will not book through American Express.

I guess it might have been some time since I've strayed away from the standard hotel chains, this hotel was the listed preferred location on global business travel but my goodness was it the furthest from a comfortable/convenient stay. First off, the place is run down and needs renovation. As I hit the stairwell on the way to my room, the wafting scents of weed and tobacco enriched my senses. The corner of my room door was bent in as if it was kicked in at some point. My room had no heat (in the midst of a chilly Philadelphia December). I found a hair on my pillow and in the sheets along with some stains on the cases. The TV controller had no batteries. I had to get up early in morning and was too exhausted after a long day to make a fuss, but here's some transparency and disclosure for future visitors. There's few excuses for cutting corners like this.
