We had a nice time at castles and coasters with our family (we had 4 adults one in a wheel chair and 1 child under 40 inches) We went during the week day for 35$ We got unlimited rides (you can also go inside the park without having to pay if you don't want to ride any rides) and for 7$ more we got 1 hour of arcade play the rides however do NOT open up till 5pm at the time we went which we did not know when we arrived lol I'm going to take this review in sections.
Parking- parking was free which is great they had handicap access 5/5 rating
Arcade- we got 1 hour of game play for a 7$ add on however you do not get to earn tickets with this option you also cannot do claw machines or photobooth, to win prices you must get a reloadable game card. The arcade it self was big with 3 levels, tons of games for all ages however it was not handicap friendly, only 1 level is available for wheelchair users. No elevator. Bathrooms on top floor 3/5
Food- food is expensive but was yummy, 8$ for a small slushy no refills unless you get the souvenir cup, we got pretzel bites for 8$ had to pay 2$ extra for a small glob of cheese, we got 7$ nachos a very small portion and had to pay 2$ for jalapeños which only had about 4 of them in there. We got ice cream cones for 4$ they were giant and delicious, we got popcorn chicken it was very yummy and somewhat reasonably priced for as much as you get 8$ we have people with allergies in our group there is no nutritional information or allergy warnings that was unfortunate some people in our group were unable to eat due to this . So food gets a 3/5 rating
Bathrooms- were clean however one bathroom is not available for wheelchair users as there is no elevator access. 4/5 rating.
Attractions- for the 35$ We were able to ride most of the rides with hardly any lines we went on a thursday. However there was no wheelchair access for any of the coasters and most of the rides, children under 40 inches are limited on what they can ride. The fun house cost 2$ extra, it's basicly 2 rooms you can walk it in under 2 mintues it should be included in the attractions prices I personally would not purchase it again. The minigolf was NOT handicap friendly so we were unable to go. The coasters were very fun and fast. Log ride you get absolutely soaked which is nice on a hot day! The free fall rides are very fun but no handicap access for the biggest one. The rest of the rides were fun and enjoyable but with limited handicap options. Overall fun was 5/5 handicap access is a 2/5 and children under 40 inches are limited but my child enjoyed herself so 3/5
Overall I give this park a 4/5 we had a good time but had restrictions due to handicap and food allergies, we had fun and would like to come back in the future with...
Read moreMy review of Castle and Coaters. Do it! For special needs kids I highly reccoment you bring noise canc3ling earmmuffs or a phone tht plays calming music and earbuds/phones. This place is noisy but so much fun. We got unlimite rides and 3hr unlimited games. My kids didn't want to come into the main park untill their 3 hrs of gaming was done. They didnt want to waste a minute of play time in the wonderful 2 story gameing castle. There is so much packed ito such a tiny place It is well organized. But not handicap friendly. There are lots of stairs. There are balls welded to the railings to prevend sliding on the rails. And not a lot of indoor AC area to sit in besides the little corner inside the Gaming Castle. I love all the little different textures the have incorporated into the parks walkways.
The bathrooms closest to the gameing castle are small with no baby changing table. The bathrooms futher into the park next to the carousel are larger and has baby changing tables. My favorite pace to sit is the picnic tables around the waterfountain, shaded by tall mature date trees, where a cool breeze, helped by the contand freeway traffic blows cool air from the fountain to us.
There is phone charing stations in the eatery inside the castle and in some of the bathrooms. The roller coaster was a lot smoother than I feared. This park was a delight to relax in while my kids had the time of thie lives. The carousell is top notch, with dragons, cats, giraffes, bears dear, goat and many many jem studded horses. I could sit here for hours enjoying the song of the caoursel.
The golf course is top knotch too. It is very well maintained The park is very clean and the employees very attentive. All the water fountains work. I'd come here again.
Do you know about 'the Sweet Spot'? A science phenomenon where only the speaker can hear themselves eccoing into a microphone but to everyone else they sound normal. Come and find the sweet spot here. Its in one if the pictures...
Read moreWow! My how this place has grown (and improved)! I remember the last time I went there it was about 15+ years ago.
I went there for a singles activity for my Church last night. It was jam packed for quite a while but I definitely had fun! I noticed that the park has a lot more to offer than the last time I was there. However, I decided to stick to some basics, although I would like to try a couple different things next time.
The staff was professional, courteous and kind.
A good friend and some of his friends played in the arcade. I played an old school version of X-Men, a car racing game, Mario Kart and a Hot-Wheels game.
The second thing I did, which was my favorite part, was play the XD Dark Ride! I went with my friend and his friend on both campaigns. Even though it was a short experience each time, the experience was well worth it! I enjoyed it a lot! It was fun and intense! 👍👍
Another thing I did was play mini golf. I think they can improve the layout of the mini golf courses. This is because there were parts of the courses that weren’t clearly separated.
Also, it was kinda confusing on the first course where the next hole was going to be. I wouldn’t doubt if it was the same for the other courses. I think better organization and more distinct signs throughout the courses would help.
I also noticed that there was people playing mini golf, exiting through the entrance to the first and second courses and in my, my friend’s and my friend’s friends case we accidentally entered the mini golf course through the exit.
One thing I’m unsure about is if it was expensive to experience everything I did last night (including the food and drink). But I know one thing for sure… if you can’t afford Disney Land,...
