First of all, I would like to thank Melissa Bell for booking our rooms for this trip. I can’t thank you enough for always giving that 5 star Marriott service. Melissa and her friendly staff always provide exceptional customer service. This is not the only reason we choose this property when staying in Phoenix. This trip is one of many positive experiences. The location is perfect it’s quiet and safe. There is also a bistro area in the lobby, along with a Starbucks. This time, we checked in with Ryan at the front desk. He was fantastic. Ryan seemed to be happy to assist and very enjoyable to talk to. He’s the person that needs to be at the front desk, interacting with the guests. When we arrived at our room, there were a few special momentous and a hand written note, from the friendly staff. Thanking us again for staying with them. It was a very special feeling, memorable and extremely thoughtful. As we continued to look around the room, we also noticed that the room had been fully remodeled. New shower, carpet, curtains, furniture and much more. It was beautiful. The entire hotel was being remodeled. This trip we were able to enjoy and utilize the outdoor pool in the evenings. The pool was very clean and temperature was perfect. Great and relaxing to end our long days. Our check out experience with Stacia was wonderful. She was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Matt was also there. We have always had a great check out experience with him too. They both made the rest of our stay complete. Thanks again to the entire staff for always taking such great care of us. We feel like apart of the family. Until next time!

An ageing hotel that was probably nice in its prime. As of Fall 2021, it's an acceptable place to stay. But the bathrooms are old and kind of gross, with fixtures (e.g., shower heads) that aren't quite installed correctly and a kinda layer of permagrime over everything, including filthy show curtains. Oh, and the toilets have disgusting push-to-flush buttons that are caked in years of filth. The beds are acceptable but not particularly comfortable, and the fitted sheets won't stay put. The walls are thin, so expect to hear everything from your neighbors. It's nice that the rooms include balconies. I knew when booking that breakfast wasn't provided. However, I was disappointed to learn that the lobby doesn't even provide hot, fresh, coffee. Instead, they want you to pay Starbucks prices for it (~$2.60 with tax for a medium cup). Otherwise, it's pretty centrally located, which is a plus. Maid service is by request only, and doesn't come by even when you request it.

The 1st morning of my stay as there was no microwave in my room I went out to the bistro I only wanted to get a banana there was 1 couple in front of me 2 people were standing at the counter talking to each other I assume they were training someone new however it took almost 10 minutes to complete a simple order for that couple when they left they looked up at me and said will be right with you in a few moments and continue to stand there and talk and not even asked me what I might want I don't know if it was the bistro manager that came out in a different colored shirt and joined the conversation, looked over at me but never asked if I've been waited on. I waited about another 5 minutes and finally went back to my room. The next morning I got up exceptionally early and was hungry. I again went out to the bistro and there was 1 couple in front of me and all they ordered was coffee. there was a new employee being trained by somebody that was working there and it took them about 7 minutes to make the coffee for the 1st couple. the whole time they never ask me what I wanted apparently they can only wait on 1 person at a time and coffee making is a stretch, again a male manager came out, saw me standing there, never said a word went over and joined the other 2 employees again I stood there for another 5 minutes and finally went back to my room I'm completely disgusted with the bistro service. There are no microwaves in the room so you can make your own food because that's apparently what you need to do if you're staying there because they won't wait on you at the bistro. The carpets are filthy, the room itself was not bad. I had 1 bar of soap, two coffee services and the cream was very old and clotted in the coffee so I couldn't drink the coffee anyway. I normally stay at Hampton Inns but gave this Marriott a try. I don't believe I would stay in a Marriott again. I had no phone service in my room they told me it was my phone and not the hotel, had no phone service in my room they told me it was my phone and not the hotel however my phone worked in the...
