MIDTOWN NAIL LOUNGE — Attraction in Phoenix

I have been to this nail salon for a year now and I have nothing but positive things to say about this salon. Everyone is very kind and welcoming and very efficient and quick pace with their work. They always make sure that I understand what I’m paying for, and better ways to take care of my nails. I always do love to come in and have all of the little designs and gems, and they’re very accommodating with hospitality by showing me my options and even giving me recommendations. I love getting my eyebrows done by a few of them as well, and they never disappoint with not making them too thin. I have had my nails done just from about everyone there and I’ve never had any issues with mistakes or walking out with dislikes. The salon is very clean always smells good, and very relaxing. When I started coming to them in January, my nails were completely fragile broken off and my nail beds were damaged. I finally am able to wear my natural nails with dipping powder as they have helped my nails grow 2 inches. I finally now have the confidence to tell everyone that my nails are real, natural, and healthy, they’re super healthy because of the salon here. I can finally flex and be a Pinterest girlie with pretty natural nails. The owner herself is very sweet and makes sure that everyone is taken care of whether that is handing in water, peeping over to make sure everything is taken care of and assisting clients. I booked a 10:30 am appointment a day ahead for me and my friend. We get there and they only could start on one of us. The whole purpose of us setting an appointment was so we could sit next to each other and have girl time. My friend's nails were done as I was finally being told to sit down on the other side of the room.

My poor friend hated her nails. They were bulky, definitely not what she asked for, the nail tech only did one coat of gel nail polish, and he cut her twice! The nail tech I had definitely had major attitude and kept saying I was too tense. Well duhhh! From the moment we walked in it was bad vibes from the staff. From rushing to sit one of us down, to trying to tell us to hurry and pick a color, to having attitudes about how I wanted my nails done. The lady was rushing and was so damn roughhhh I mean she cracked my knuckles from how rough she was being with me.

Then the quality was straight dumpster juice. I wanted coffin and I got square and no matter how many times I kept saying the shape was not correct the nail tech kept ignoring my requests to correct it by saying if she files more the shape would be off. Like please stop arguing with me about what I am asking for and just do it since I am paying for it. The nails are mediocre, not what I wanted, and overpriced. I want to premise this by saying the whole staff is wonderful and super accommodating especially considering I have a later work schedule. I had gone in Sunday the 28th for a gel manicure for an upcoming wedding, and everything was lovely. Unfortunately Monday rolls around and the gel on my index finger starts to lift I call in and the staff member is super apologetic and understanding of my time schedule. I’m able to get in Tuesday for my lunch break to have it fixed everything went great, they applied more gel to my nail and I’m out within a few minutes. I get back to work, but within two hours it lifts again. The staff again is super friendly I’m booked in for Wednesday after work, and they reapply a new coat. I leave Thursday morning, and by Friday the day before the wedding 5 out of my 10 nails all lift after a shower. I had to have a friend apply nail glue to all the gel nails that came off just to have something set for the wedding Saturday, as I couldn’t find a nail salon with available bookings on such short notice, or have to drive out of town. I’ve been to Midtown nails twice before and their acrylic nails are always top notch and staff is super friendly and accommodating!
