This is my first time here. had an hour and a half between shifts and had homework to do First this dude was clipping his nails in the middle of the library. Next a dude is escorted out as he's laughing his butt off, falling on the floor, and arguing with a guard. Currently there is a couple sitting across from me. The has just said "Don't send that! She's 15!" to her boyfriend who clearly doesn't care. They're openly talking about their hard drug use. Fairly loud too. Save yourself the trip and go to the library in Oakland next to UPitt and Carnegie Mellon. It's bigger, has more materials, and the people have class. Not sure why I expected that downtown but I'm disappointed. Carnegie Library of Oakland, 7.9/5. All downtown location does better...

They can make it a better place but I can understand why they can't. If you want a quite place go to East Carson library that one is small...

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review is because the interior is seriously lacking character. All the walls I saw were white with no prints, posters, paintings, nothing. All the desks are white too. It was just really sterile feeling. I hope the library can get some budget for making the decor/vibe feel a little...
