Arcade Comedy Theater — Attraction in Pittsburgh

I went here with my friend who is from out of town as something different to do. I am not sure about others, but I do not think that people dressed up in costumes singing covers of songs is funny. Just because you are a bad singer, and are wearing a costume, does not make it comedy. It makes it something someone would do at a frat party while insanely drunk.

The improv group was also not that funny. It was boring and we could not wait to leave. This is a school that teaches comedians how to be funny, I would never attend this school or take classes. Nothing was original. It was pretty awkward. There was a group of regulars who were laughing obnoxiously, and other comedians were laughing, however, no one else was.

My sister and I just got to Pittsburgh for a weekend visit and thought it would be fun to see a comedy show. Arcade Comedy was recommended by a website and the $11 price was great. We were a little nervous about the improv show since those can sometimes be uncomfortable but it was HILARIOUS! My cheeks hurt from laughing so much. I would recommend Comedy Royale to everyone, it was so funny. The host, Matt, had great stage presence and involved the audience enough to make it enjoyable but not too embarrassing. We saw the Broad Squad last night and it was the funniest live comedy show I have ever seen. Each woman had a unique style but each was very funny. The venue was nice. We foumd parking on the street. There is a lot about a block away too. They have an elevator which is great because it is a multi-story building. They have a small but nice lobby and the staff was very friendly. My only complaint was that we tried to call and could only leave a message even 45 minutes before the show.
