This review is about a wedding we had in the church. If all you care about is getting married in a Pittsburgh landmark church, it is very beautiful. We would give the priest 5 stars, Thomas Spavalino, but he wasn't involved until the day of. The organization was absolutely awful leading up to our wedding. No one could give any answers on details for the ceremony. After about 10 phone calls with the church and "wedding coordinator" we had to google search all of our readings, songs, and anything involved with the ceremony. The rehearsal was a complete waste of time. Although the musician was talented, he literally didn't play the songs we picked, including "here comes the bride" as the entrance. 5 minutes before the ceremony started they still were asking which readings we wanted, which we told them several times and made our own program that was given to them. We are not members (husband is from Erie & I'm from Lilly, Pittsburgh is in the middle) yet they were so accepting of us. We had to provide our own priest which was better as my childhood priest was able to marry us no problem. Communication with the church was so easy - anytime I called Sister Marlene she had the answers! The ladies that help coordinate weddings were all so pleasant and helpful for both rehearsal and day of. It is an absolutely beautiful church. Parking options were great for a downtown location which was perfect for our out of town guests. Late arriving guests were able to use the garage across the street for a minimal fee...
