The Shops at Perry Crossing — Attraction in Plainfield

My husband and I went to see Star Wars at the 4:20pm showing. We ordered the tickets online which was an easy process. The tickets for that show was $5.99 per adult which is a good deal. When we went up to order our food they were out of a couple items. It was going to be 15 minutes before the hotdogs were ready. This was disappointing as we have never had a movie theater be out of the normal items. We ended up just buying popcorn and sodas. We got our sodas and went in and sat down. As we started to drink our sodas they seemed to be too carbonated and tasted a bit off. The seats were the regular ones and we like that better than the new recliner ones that many have. At this point I would say the offerings at this mall are a good start. However, if the mall succeeds long term the owners will need to do more than change the name and add a gazebo and fire pit. I would love to see a Macy’s, Von Maur or Nordstrom. Smaller stores might include Eddie Bauer, Gap, Trader Joe’s and Fresh Market. Finally, while the open concept is apparently the direction these upscale malls are taking - it is not practical here in the Midwest where we experience extreme fluctuations in weather including snow, ice, and very low temps. These stores have a good mixture of making it feel like a nice outlet mall and the feel of the actual store feel like an inside mall. Every store has lots of space and are pleasing to the eye. The landscape is awesome especially for the time of year it is. And the stores are spread out in a way that is easy to get to multiple types of stores without walking a mile in between. Also parking is easy to find and there's never traffic. There's also a dope movie theater that holds an awesome church called Tribe Church on sundays at 10:00 am which alone is a positive vibe added to the whole environment. Oh and the food...
