Beautiful park with stunning views of Lake Michigan, downtown Port Washington, the harbor, the lighthouse, breakwater walls, etc. The park is spectacularly maintained. There is a ramp access raised wood boardwalk with benches over a wildflower area that also offers amazing views. The gazebo with a winding staircase to a 360 degree view lookout of the entire park is finished and the lookout is lit at night with color changing LED lighting. Bat houses were installed on the perimeter of the park to help control insects this year. Access to the bird sanctuary and path to South Beach via the bridge by WE Energies. Kayaks and other small non-motorized crafts can be easily launched from...

A very nice little park on the lakeshore in Port Washington. When you walk around it you can marvel at the fact that the whole area was once a huge mountain of coal. The coal fuelled the massive power plant that is still there, and which has since switched to natural gas. Quite the transformation for the better!!

This park is very picturesque; you can walk around the park on the paved path, or you can walk over the bridge and follow the dirt path to South Beach. It is often windy there, the open space lends itself nicely to kite flying.

Coal Dock Park is walking distance from downtown Port and is close to cafes, bars, and...

Really nice place to kick back with a freind for a visit. Very open space where people walk their pets, do some walking, and meet for a visit etc. Nice location right in the heart of Port Washington. Places to grab a sandwich or lunch within walking distance of this park. Take hwy. 43 north to Port Washington exit (hwy. 32) into Port Washington. Located next to WE energies power plant on Lake Michigan. A nice drive to get out of the city and take in some Sun and fresh air. Lots of restaurants and shops to explore also. Worth the...

Port Washington in general is one of my favorite places on this Earth so Coal Dock Park is as well. The views are fantastic-both out to the Lake as well as looking back at the City. There are various wooden platforms where you can gaze out over the lake, watch the waves, enjoy the scenery. Well worth the walk involved.

Stunning view of Port Washington towards the end of the park and lots of space for activities. Has a nice little preserve towards the end and a beautiful gazebo/pavilion in the center with a spiral staircase leading to a room on top. Cool little park nestled in Port Washington!

There's a nice little gazebo that you can climb to the second floor and look out at the lake and the lighthouse, but nobody washes the windows. What good is a good view if you can keep the view clean. There were not enough trees on the property. Just a big open lawn.
