Capt Luke was amazing. We had an absolute blast a few weeks ago. Getting to the Port was easy and we were on our way.

Captain and his mate were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their directions and guidance were awesome, since we were all noobs.

I felt safe the entire voyage, even with 1/4 mile visibility and being 5 miles out. The safety briefing was solid which my son appreciated, since it was the first time going that far out.

The actual fishing was GREAT! They set up the rods and were very open about the process and answered all of questions. The reeling style is very different from inland fishing and their guidance was spot on. They were also very encouraging.

There was lots of conversation and laughing. As a father, and a Christian, I really appreciated the lack of sailor speak ;)

We hit our limit for the day and they cleaned all 25 Cohos for us and bagged them. Be sure to bring a solid cooler and ice!

We enjoyed ourselves so much that we put another date on the calendar with Capt Luke for July to go after some...

Exciting and at times nerve-wracking jaunt to the lighthouse, with the foaming waves surging up and over and around. Serene views of Port, where your grandparents retired but no longer live. You came to this choppy, cold, icy, sweating spot since you were little, because it’s mildly dangerous and free and so beautiful. Taking pictures inside your mind since before there were phones. It feels like you could find something special out there, like the lake is hiding all the dreams you had the first time you came. You’re here so infrequently but you come here everyone you’re around. You can mark out the slowing passing of your life in the way the waves crash, beating against the rocks, as regular as harsh breaths, fanning you with water, like they will when...

Today was my first trip to Port Washington, and wow, what a gem! The views were incredible - we couldn't stop snapping pics (check out my photos!). It's the perfect spot for a chill stroll with amazing scenery. We just hung out by the lake for hours, taking it all in. After our walk, we found this cute little cafe and grabbed some coffee. The coffee was great, and the people there were super friendly. It was exactly what we needed! Honestly, Port Washington was way better than I expected. It was such a relaxing getaway with beautiful sights and awesome weather. If you're looking for a cute town by the lake to unwind, this is your place! Seriously,...
