We decided to take a trip to Port Washington on a whim. We arrived around 3:45 pm on Saturday July 1st. (Note to self many places in Pt. Washington cloase by 3:00 and are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, plan accordingly). After wondering around a bit to find a place for dinner, also many places open at 4:30 for dinner seating we wanted to sit by the water and enjoy the view. Although not a high view over looking the marina, you definitely feel the open air and sense the water near bt. The patio was pleasant, the music at a non-intrusive volume. Ither patrons were at a respectful volume at their tables (I personally appreciate common curiosity) the staff was friends, attentive and all seemed to enjoy their jobs, which would be a testament to the managers. Okay the food...the chicken dumpling soup, exquisite. The side of fresh cut fries-more than we two could eat! I had the pulled pork bbq sandwich. My gf had a pulled chicken sandwich. I wish mine had more bbq sauce, and it was good. Her chicken sandwich checked the box for her. The bread is something they bosted about, home made, etc. It was good in my opinion, the gf says "meh". We ended with a shared cheese cake. Now that was out of this world! Would I return her, yes. Should you give it a try definitely. Lovely place, lovely people amd good food.

Ate lunch here on a Fri afternoon. Walking through the restaurant towards the host stand, we noticed it was *very* noisy. Music was blaring and the open concept with everyone talking was overly loud. We thought uh oh, and asked to be seated on the patio. Good thing there was an available table. Music at a decent level out there and nice view of the lake (though you get a view of a parking lot too). Our server, Andrea was great. Friendly, attentive, prompt. I had the Door Co Moscow Mule which was delish. Made with cherry vodka and served in a frosty cold copper mug. Perfect on a warm summer day. I had a flatbread with prosciutto and shaved Brussels sprouts on it...so good, I'm craving it again - though I wish it had more sprouts. A bit skimpy on those. My husband had the pork banh mi sandwich and he said it was awesome. He also chose sweet potatoes as a side (note: there are no sides included with the sandwiches). These weren't any ordinary sweet potato fries like you get at most restaurants. These were thick, hand cut, and had a wonderful roasted taste and texture. All in all, a bit pricey, but food is top notch.

You're definitely paying for location. Outdoor seating is available overlooking the marina. We stopped for lunch and ordered the Friday fish fry. It's $14, not all you can eat, & is only 2 pieces of what appeared to be cod fish sticks purchased from Sysco. It includes smashed potatoes and coleslaw which is very good. When I've gotten smashed potatoes in the past, they were mashed potatoes. These aren't. Instead they look like small potatoes that were stepped on with a shoe, then fried. Service was slow. Our waiter never came back to see if we wanted another drink. We did. There also didn't seem to be enough restroom capacity. There was an almost constant line of people waiting. Considering this was only lunch and not that busy, I'd hate to see what happens during dinner rush.

This had to be one of the worst service experiences I've had in years, yesterday 7/12/21 at around 5pm the waitress Kelly T. displayed a really horrible and rude attitude.

My girlfriend and I are regulars at this establishment and yesterday as usual we started our order with the Asian Brussel Sprouts to share, the waitress offered us the side portion of the brussels for a discounted price but I asked for the regular sized appetizer as that's what we always get but the waitress totally ignored the request and brought the small portion of brussels, we knew we didn't get the right size as we always have some left to take home. I was charged the regular sized brussels anyway.

The waitress never came to check up on us, never asked if I needed a refill of drink until the very end at which point I was already drinking water from my girlfriend's glass.

She was eager throughout our dining experience to get us out the door / clear off our table as fast as possible. The waitress waited for my gf to finish eating 2 french fries over the dinner plate, with her hand outstretched, so she could then hand it to her. Also waited for my gf to finish wiping her mouth with the cloth napkin, and then grabbed the napkin not 2 seconds after she set it down on the table.

Our table was pretty much completely cleared off before we even had a chance to get up from the table to leave – we were NOT stalling either, as we wanted to get out of there as fast as possible.

I have never in my life felt so rushed to get out of a restaurant, as much as my girlfriend and myself were last night. Other patrons surrounding us in the same dining section were getting wonderful service, but we were being forgotten / prioritized last.

I am not surprised that another recent review just a few hours ago is mentioning the same horrible attitude from the staff.

I live in Port and I always prefer to support local establishments, but Fork & Tap will not be one of them for me anymore.

Looking forward to hearing back as to how you will be remedying the situation at hand, seeing as how we were loyal customers up until...

A new dining option for port, stopped in early afternoon, had a drink and we decided to have something to eat, service was good and fast, options lunch / dinner seem to be like wraps sandwiches? Not sure as we only did 2 entrees pulled chicken seems to be a big menu item basically the cheapest protein. Prices are like $11-$ 12 for protein and everything else you pay extra no side options seemed included. Place was not busy,The novelty of bottom filled beer glasses was about the best thing I enjoyed. The sandwich chicken something on a wrap was not outstanding in any terms, and flavors or sauces lacking to add anything unique to it basically dry tasting pulled chicken! I can't speak for the other meal as it presented the same way. The order side of fries were smothered in cheese sprinkles or something, not to my liking so I took a pass, My take is a sandwich shop on steroids on the lake front, with unique beer taps, Not sure if this will pay the lease after the uniqueness wears off with the locals, and the SHORT summer season ends. I suggest a menu change ,, cut 50-70% off listed items, less alacarte & add some plate dining options items but only several! Less can be done better, and if menu states a...
