Not sure why someone gave this a 5-star rating because, as of September 9, it's under construction and not yet open. But since the Portland Art Museum isn't open today, and the 5-star rating, I decided to come visit.
I asked at an information desk in a building across the way and they said it's scheduled to open to the public on September 26.
UPDATE: Revisited January 2020. Smallish two-level contemporary exhibition, but I was surprised to see that they featured a work each by Koons, Hockney, Walker, even a Basquiat. Well worth the visit, and it's free (no gatekeeper desk soliciting donations either, just walk right in and enjoy).
