Decent gym if you happen to be on campus. The pool is big and awesome. Sadly, its missing a lot of things:
Equipment are lacking if you are into bodybuilding. Its missing a lot of machines/equipment that target serious lifters, even when you compare it to a traditional gym like 24 hour fitness
No Sauna or steam room?! Come on!
The lockers in the changing rooms are a joke. I can't even fit my backpack, let alone my helmet or any school stuff. So I have to work out and drag my stuff around the machines.
While bench pressing one day, an employee asked me to put sleeves on my barbell if I need to continue using the gym. This was the first time anyone has asked me to do this in my 16 years of lifting weights. Obviously he doesn't lift.
Other than those couple things its not a bad gym for the average person. I like that you can charge your phone for free at the service desk while you're...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you go to PSU, your academic fees already pay for this place, so if you never go here, you are literally getting ripped off (sorry remote students š). The good news is, if you do go here, you get access to one of the best gyms I've ever had. In addition to standard gym equipment such as weight machines and treadmills, this place also has an indoor swimming pool, a small indoor track, a two-story rock climbing wall, as well as regular fitness, swimming, and yoga classes. In addition multiple student rec clubs meet here, such as the Latina Dance club, the weightlifting club, the fencing club, and many others (although some clubd may currently be inactive due to the pandemic).
Overall, a 5-star experience. I'd highly recommend any PSU student who lives near or regularly commutes to PSU to check...

I find it rather ridiculous to have to guess whether or not a schedule at a university/ student funded facility is going to be accurate on an day by day basis. On another note I recently noticed that they have also restricted basketball times to before 6pm, due to maskless players, I find this to be a blatant show of laziness from the staff whose job it is to enforce rules but have instead decided to punish everyone for their ineffective mask enforcement. Change the Schedule, Enforce Masks...
