We had a really bad experience at this theater. It was very hot and they said they couldn't do anything about it. We were very uncomfortable. The movie didn't start at the appointed time so finally we went and asked them what was up. The disinterested employee told us that they had been having issues with that particular theater all day and started the movie. I was frustrated because all of the employees seemed to be standing around shooting the breeze and if this particular theater really had been having problems all day, shouldn't someone have been monitoring it? it seemed like most of the employees didn't have much else to do. Once the movie started the picture blinked off and we only had sound for several minutes so we again had to go and find an employee. They came and turned it back on but just let it run from where it was. We then had to go back and get them again to restart it so we could see what we missed while the picture was off. This really was the worst movie going experience we had ever had and the employees were very unprofessional. Because I'm an AMC Stubs member, I was randomly sent a survey about my experience. I recounted the whole story. Within a few days, I received a call from the theater's manager. He was very apologetic and assured me that he would work with his employees to ensure that this sort of thing didn't happen again. He told me he was going to send me some complimentary tickets and stuff to make up for the bad experience. It's been a month and a half and that stuff never arrived. I was going to forgo the bad Yelp review because this manager was proactive about reaching out but I've been trying to call for several days now to ask about the promised stuff and I'm unable to get through or leave a message. I don't live in UT and was just there dropping my kid off at school so I can't go to the theater to complain directly. I'd avoid this place. The employees there just don't seem to care. Movies are very expensive now and dealing with a place like this isn't worth the aggravation.
Update: Fair is fair. I'm going to update my review a little. The new manager finally sent me the promised tickets after about three months and a return visit to inquire about the whereabouts of the promised tickets and multiple attempts to reach them by phone. I haven't been back for another movie so I can't comment on whether the quality of the experience has come up but i do appreciate the eventual follow through. I can't give this place more stars if the employees are still working t the level they were working the night of our first visit and the assistant manager who shined me off when I came by to inquire about the promised package shouldn't be managing anything ever. She was one of the best examples of crappy customer service I've ever encountered and I will cite her in any conversations I have with anyone about how not to do that. Otherwise, we might give them another try if we're in town and if we do, I'll adjust my rating...
Read moreOkay, I honestly HOPE now that this theatre is an AMC they will do some SERIOUS upgrades. I went to the theatre twice this week, primarily because I had two free popcorn coupons from a survey app that I have on my phone but I honestly don't know if it was worth it. The first night was on a Tuesday so they were slammed, and I don't know if every Tuesday is the same but it was CHAOS. They had two teenagers working the counter for tickets & concessions and the lines were SO LONG. It took over 15 minutes just to order popcorn. THEN turns out the soda machines were out of EVERYTHING EXCEPT DIET ROOTBEER. {First of all, who even drinks diet rootbeer???} Anyway, people were losing their minds.
So then tonight when I went the soda machines ran out of ice which again caused a panic. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, we had to wait for the ice. But then, turns out the girl that had restocked didn't know what size of lids to put out so I had to wait 5 minutes (after waiting for ice in the machine) just to get a lid for my drink. It was fine. BUT THEN on the way out we wanted a refill but the drink machines had some weird "logged out" screen on and when I told the girls at the counter, they said they lost BOTH nozzles for the machines and that if I wanted to look around and if I were to find them they would give me free drinks for a week. First of all, how does that even happen - and second of all I'M NOT GONNA DRIVE TO THE MOVIE THEATRE JUST FOR "FREE" SODA. hahaha Honestly I felt bad for the kids working, but this place is so run down and disorganized I don't know if I want to go back.
Oh, and the bathrooms are RANK. Let's just say my boyfriend informed me that the same stall in the men's bathroom is still out of order that was over a month ago when he was last there.
I think if AMC were to upgrade the seats, bathrooms & get some working soda machines they would see an improvement in sales. I went there because I have Movie Pass but I would never spend money on a ticket to go back here.
ALSO I THINK THE THEATRE WAS 60 degrees MAX. We froze.
*please note that I have been going to this movie theatre...
Read moreThis is the worst movie theatre I have ever been to. I went on Christmas Day to see jumanji with my family and the bathrooms were trashed. The employees looked like they could not even give a damn about their jobs either. Then my boyfriend and I went the next day to the theatre cause my brother had left a case full of Nintendo DS games underneath one of the seats, just to be welcomed by the same lifeless employees except longer lines and annoyed customers because this theatre was so understaffed. I went up to the girl taking tickets and asked her about the lost and found and she told me that I would have to talk to one of the concession stand girls to call a manager to talk to. Reluctantly and knowing it wouldnât lead anywhere, I asked the girl if she would get a manager to talk to me and she pointed and said her manager was helping the long lines and I would have to wait. So I went into his long concession line and we waited there for a good 30 minutes before we even got to talk to him, after he disappeared for 5 minutes just to get money for his till and everyone had come up to the lines to tell concessions that one of the movies wasnât even working. Once he came back I asked him about the lost item and he told me that all he would do is take my information and call me if he ever found it just because his lines were so long which is terrible customer service, and then we left afterwards. My brother ended up coming back to the theatre hours later, where he ended up having to BUY a ticket just to go look for his games, which he found under the seat meaning the employees didnât even care to look for us. I will never be going to an AMC movie theatre again and neither will any of my...
