To be fair I have gotten these cookies many times and normally love them when I come in from out of town. I went in on a Wednesday and got 3 small ones and 6 normal sized ones to bring back on the plane for my kids back home. I asked for a few small lemons but she said they were out and would not get another delivery til Friday. Does that mean the cookies are not made fresh everyday? I don’t think so, I got home that same day i bought them and went to eat a lemon, which I normally LOVE, but they were stale and so dry! It was not worth bringing them home on the plane so I just threw away $30!!

Lesson learned, if I go get cookies get them on a Monday or Tuesday when they are freshly baked otherwise I would say pass on the. Apparently their bakery is up the canyon about 30 minutes away. THIS is what I want from a cookie! Other places that sell the giant “cookies” really just end up tasting like some undefined dessert item, but not an actual cookie. The texture and taste of these is great. I’ve had their Lemon Sugar cookie and their Rice Crispy Treat cookie and both had perfectly sweet and balanced flavor and a chewy, soft cookie texture. I loved the lemon frosting; it tasted fresh and had none of that cloying artificial after taste that comes when people use extract instead of real lemon.

But the biggest plus was the woman who worked there. She was so bright and friendly and had such a love for the product that I thought she owned the place! I wish I remembered her name because she made me want to come back just to see her...

I had a DoorDash order from these guys and the DoorDasher had not grabbed the order for over two hours - I called them one minute before closing to make sure the order wasn’t cancelled. Sienna was the GREATEST worker I have ever worked with. Because the store closed at 9, I was not able to pick them up. But she offered to drop them off herself after they closed the store! I am so unbelievably impressed by this company and not to mention that there cocomel cookie is the best cookie I have ever had!
