I went online and booked a time slot weeks in advance, when we arrived the place was completely PACKED, seriously, they decided to put as many tables as they possibly could, so much so that I couldnât get to the back and choose which item I wanted to paint, they completely overbooked the place, people kept running into to us because there was nowhere else to go. I told them that I had booked a reservation but there wasnât a single reserved spot for us, the lady working there just told us to sit at the smallest table in the room right in the path of people walking so people would brush against us the whole time, as soon as we went to sit down some random people were sat at our same seats and they got taken right in front of us, we dropped our unpainted mugs at the front and just left, this place needs an actually system to allow their paying customers to enjoy the time spent there, not stuff the place like sardines just to make as much money as possible, it was such an uncomfortable experience and ruined my surprise plans for me and my girlfriend
**Felt the need to add to my original review
The owner clearly is greedy and wants to pack as many people as possible and doesnât care about the experience of the clients here, every response to THE SAME COMPLAINT is âthere was a miscommunicationââŚ. NO THERE WAS NOT, you did not reserve a table for us when I clearly put in a reservation WEEKS in advance, your establishment is not safe and clearly a fire hazard, people with anxiety issues or claustrophobia should steer clear from this place because you will have a panic attack, and on top of all of this, after my original review was posted, they decided to call me in the middle of the night when most people are dead asleep and offered me $8 dollars off my next visit, $8????? Seriously couldnât even offer a free small mug? At this point the owner needs to make a change but Iâm still shocked that all they have to say is âit was a...
Read moreMessage to the owner: I see you respond to reviews that mention the lack of space yet you change nothing? Nothing is changing! Change! I honestly only put one star because the one positive thing out of this experience were the employees. The whole experience overall was a disaster. Iâve been to this location a couple of times (only because the other locations were booked) even though I prefer not to go here. This location is packed TO THE BRIM. It is 100000% a fire hazard and not handicap accessible. Both entrances were heavily blocked by people so that goes to show you how packed this place was. I went a few days ago and it was practically impossible to get around. They put the tables so close together, youâll be lucky if you can get up to go get more supplies/paint. If you think Iâm joking, check it out for yourself. Doesnât even matter if youâre small or big, YOU CAN HARDLY GET AROUND PERIOD. I was so overwhelmed when I walked in, it seriously ruined the whole experience for me. Genuinely filled so many people with anxiety. They need to take a few tables out and book less people because that would be the safe and smart thing to do. You would think after looking at all the bad reviews having to do with this same topic, theyâd change something. The owner needs to get in there and make changes because myself and other customers were not happy. To top it off my friendâs piece was broken in the kiln and they said they can âtry to buff it out.â They offered for her to come in to paint a new piece but she wouldnât get her original piece back AND to top it off NO REFUND HA. Seriously the piece breaks and you donât offer anything? Spent time, MONEY and energy on a piece she loved and they said she can come repaint it or take her broken piece but she canât have both. A good business would refund her and let her repaint. DO BETTER. Do yourself a favor and go to the sandy location, way more calm...
Read moreThe painting was fun. There is a fun selection to pick from. They do not have many objects or tools to use to paint with beyond the traditional paint brush.
I was very disappointed with the pick up service. I was told by the employees that I would get a call and an email when it was finished being cooked and glazed.
However, while painting, I overheard six, yes SIX, costumers come in to get their finished pieces, all with the same complaint- They had Not been called or recieved an email that their pottery pieces were done. One customer had waited 2 weeks!
Once finished, I was reassured I would be contacted by email or a call. Sounds perfect, I thought!
Two weeks later, nothing. I check my spam folders and even other email accounts, nothing from this business.
I drive 45 minutes with 2 little kids to this location to discover it opens in an hour. The manger was inside taking invitory and the front door was open. I explain my situation and ask if she will get my pottery piece. She is put out but agrees. I thank her and let her know I hadn't received an email or call but appreciated the time she took to grab the piece for me.
She immediately says that I must be mistaken and that I had missed the email and should check my junk folder. It has apparently happened to many people.
I can say I haven't been treated so rudley by a business for merely saying I personally had not received an email. Furthermore, if this happens to others, then an email is not the best way to notify customers their pottery is ready. I realize you have you're money already so there is little impetus for you to call your customers.
I would suggest another location for more dependable service and consistent...
