I went to Fuel and Iron for an even for work. I had a Moscow Mule (not served in a copper cup), a Mojito, and a Skyline Drive to drink. The Moscow Mule and the Mojito both tasted like dish soap, and the Skyline Drive had a lot of interesting sounding alcohols in it, but I could not taste any of them over the taste of the bitters. To eat, I had a chicken sandwich from Diavolo Pueblo Hot Chicken, and honestly, I have had a better chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-a. And I understand that this establishment is like a food court , and patrons are expected to clean their own tables, but I would think that with a reservation for 25-30 people, they might have at lease one employee designated to checking on our party, and helping us clean our table. I personally had to clear our table about five time of empty glasses and plates. But I think the thing that I was most disappointed by was the fact that at about 7:30pm the manager, or owner (not really sure who she was) came into the area that they had reserved for us, and snarkaly asked if they could open up the area to the rest of the public. At the time, there were still about 15 of us sitting at a table, but we were not using the whole of the area, so we were more than happy to have them open it up. The manager acted like there were several people waiting for places to sit, and was almost annoyed that we were still there. She even told us, after we happily told her that they could open the area, "okay, because we only had you guys reserved from 3:30 to 6:30." She opened the are, and cleaned a couple tables, and then ONE guy came into the are talked on his phone for about five minutes, and then left again. I am sorry, but I think that if there are 15 people still in your establishment, at 7:30pm, paying up to $14 per drink, even if their reservation ended at 6:30pm, you should be a little more friendly, and maybe not try to rush them out. Especially when the space that they are using is not NEEDED for anyone else. As a Pueblo Native, I am very sad to say that I just do not see this place lasting. The drinks are too high priced and not good at all, the food is mediocre, and the service...
Read moreUsed to really love this place… absolutely devastated to see what it’s become. The old bartenders knew us by name and were able to replicate even the most complicated drinks. I didn’t see a single one I recognized. Such a bummer.. we miss our girls! Sierra made a top notch whiskey sour. Alexis always had a smile. Emma was very knowledgeable about the menu.. New atmosphere is not welcoming at all. Not a single employee smiled at us or greeted us for at least 15 minutes.. that I can let slide, but the drinks and bar staff themselves were a huge letdown. Bartender with purple hair was extremely rude and gave us a dirty look while we waited (patiently, might I add.) I asked twice for a water and was rudely told there was a water station further away. Why would I sit at the bar if I had to walk over to the counter for water?
Another customer had a dog at the bar… while other guests were eating.. we are dog people but we also acknowledge there’s a place and time. Asking other guests to hold your dog while you go to the restroom is .. off putting at best.
Also strange, but none of the drinks tasted even close to what I’ve had in the past. We don’t mind paying extra for a good drink, but the margarita I ordered was lackluster at best. Watery, no salt even though I requested a salt rim.. husband’s old fashioned was ok. Not the best we’ve had from here.
Overall, the vibe was just super negative. I know changes within ownership and management happened recently, but this is very sad. I understand new direction happens, but this was not for the better.

Read moreWent out here last night for a drink with our friends. However when we got in the music was off, the bright lights were on and only 10 ppl were in the business, most being employees. When I ordered a Rose Gin drink the bartender took so long to make it I was able to order food from across the room. We only ordered ONE drink. But no worries, we sit down for him to bring it to me and tell me EVERY other bartender walked out that morning. This is very alarming and inappropriate, SHAMEFUL! Now I’m worried about the ethics of this company and their management. I don’t have any personal association but I still care about how employees are treated at places I spend my money.
However, the drink was just Gin and some glitter, it was awful. The old female manager came up and offered to make a new one, and she made me something pineapple and delicious. She was very sweet. But image how uncomfortable I was to see a lanky older man over her shoulder watching me try the new drink. He just looks like he doesn’t treat his employees well.
With no music playing, ppl staring right at me while I drank, and finding out ALL of their bartenders quit I don’t think myself, or my friends would ever go back. It’s shameful and embarrassing when all of your employees quit. That means YOU are the problem. Hopefully you call all of them today and beg for them back because I can’t imagine bartenders saying they’ve been working for 3 hours is why anyone would pay...
