Let’s start with the good. The seats are great, pretty spacious for arena seating. The height between rows is high enough that even if there’s a taller person you should still be able to see over them. There really isn’t a bad seat that I could find, even the standing room areas had good views. Concession pricing for an Omaha beef game wasn’t horrible, $10 for a small drink and cheeseburger. Parking is free and there’s plenty of it available.
There are some nice updated areas, but some places that are still stuck in the past. Notably the lights, they still use old stadium lights that need to warm up and take 10 minutes to turn on after being turned off. As more teams are getting into doing light shows after goals/touchdowns, this prevents them from doing that and really takes away from what could be an awesome experience. The regular lights are dim enough that when the LED screens scattered throughout the arena change color there’s a noticeable change in brightness which can be distracting.
Another thing about this stadium is the main walkway around the stadium is very narrow, some places it gets down to about the size of a house hallway. It makes it a nightmare to get anywhere if the place is even slightly full. It doesn’t help that the concessions lines share the walkway space as well.
I haven’t had a chance to attend a concert here yet, but I’m curious to see how the acoustics are. Overall it’s an alright arena. Could be worse, but could be so...

Minnesota is definitely known for being the State of Hockey, but the Omaha metro area definitely has some quality hockey themselves even without the pro team in town. But they have something even better and more enjoyable than watching the pro's play for a paycheck. They have the USHL where kids still play for pride and glory.
Minnesota used to have a couple of teams and I wish we could get a team back because during a recent visit to the area for an FCA Men's Hockey Tournament, some of us teammates took in a Lancers game and it was awesome!
The hockey was fast paced and great to watch and the arena offered the perfect setting for these developing youngsters. Arena was clean, just the right amount of seating for this type of hockey and they even had a few suites as well. Cheap to get in to watch some outstanding hockey as is the food and beverages - ESPECIALLY compared to trying to go to a pro sporting event where you have to take a loan out just to enjoy yourself!
It was recommended that we get the super nachos at Maria's and I will also recommend that they are purchased. Best queso I've ever had and I sure am glad I decided to get them. Don't pass these up for the boring chips and nacho cheese elsewhere!
Go have some fun and enjoy yourself without breaking the...
Read moreCame here to the Winter Nationals wrestling tournament. My kids ate a brunch and then at the arena at about 2pm after their 1st match. AT ABOUT 6:05 I went to buy supper and gatoraid or water for them. Every food stand was shut down!!!!!! Everything!!!! No food, no water, and place is packed. My kids still need to wrestle 2 more times tonight. We will be wrestling until at least 9 and can't eat or drink! I can handle it, but my 47lb son wrestler can't. On top of that, you can't carry anything in!!!! What a joke!!! We have to come back tomorrow. I am thinking of bringing a cooler and telling them to store it for me in case they decide to quit selling food and water. For people considering this for a venue I would definitely consider somewhere else.
If I could post a picture of the arena right now, there is still enough people here to fill every seat. 7:30!!! EVERY SEAT. My kids wrestled all day and night and haven't ate since 2. I am sure there are many other 6 year olds that haven't ate since noon and won't or can't until at least 9 or 10...
