I wish I had read reviews before spending money on this. It was not remotely enjoyable. The ice was not dry for our session, which hasn't always been a problem for me in the past but the skates are literally flat on the bottom & it was impossible to skate on the wet ice. The check in was very slow. Due to this, we didn't get skates until about 10 minutes after our session started. The skates are very, very dull, hockey type skates & are flat on the bottom. I've done plenty of skate rentals before and never experienced skates like this before. Also, they were too stiff to tighten enough, leaving my ankles unstable, and all the laces had several knots in them so we couldn't tie them properly. We were going to do several sessions during our stay at the hotel, but I 100% will not be back after this session. It really is a bummer because it's a cute little rink and we were so excited for it

Horrible experience at the Ice Rink, and overall YOU SHOULD NOT GO to GSRs Ice Rink and instead go to the indoor ice rink in south Reno or the Truckee ice rink. Firstly, we arrived 30 minutes prior to our skate time, and it’s took an hour for us to get to the front of the line (as a prepaid admission with only 5 groups in front of us). Secondly, by the time we got to the front of the line for our allotted time slot, they ran out of skates and refused us admission despite a counted 30 people for general admission tickets to be given to people without reservations. Thirdly, despite GSR making the mistake of exceeding limit capacity and allowing so many non-reserved tickets to be take from prepaid and reserved members, the company refused to issue a refund for their mistake. Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

I have been a seasonal skater for the past three years. Not only have I noticed the GREAT improvements in both the premises and the staff, the ice on the rink itself has improved so much that I bought a season pass. So far it has been a great value for my money and I have become so grateful for the hard work of the staff including Fong and Noelle and Joy for making this season so wonderful and pleasant. The ice is the BEST it’s ever been (smooth and well maintained) and the rink itself is so cozy with the twinkle lights, skate helpers, and fire pits/warmers and chairs. Thank you everyone! If you’re skeptical of attending a public session, hesitate no more. Call a friend or two and stop by, you won’t be disappointed!❤️❤️❤️

Took my boys to ice skate here last night and I 100% recommend to check it out. We had a wonderful experience. Their staff was friendly, helpful and thorough. Even their security was awesome, last night was Alvi. He was helpful and assertive ensuring safety. The staff had the lines moving quickly to get everyone checked in and rent skates. The skates we received were in great condition. Please note they do not do half sizes. Before our session started we stopped by the bar where Jose assisted us. Ordered a cocktail for myself, hot chocolate for my boys and S'mores kits. Our beverages were perfect! The boys absolutely enjoyed the S'mores which they ate at the fire pits after our session. The overall atmosphere of the ice rink adds to the experience. Skating under the lights with a jamming playlist. Seating is available everywhere which I appreciated as my little one had to take a couple of breaks. The only thing I would say they need are more guides, they sold out pretty quickly and I was hoping to get one for my youngest. I wish I would have been able to capture and share better photos of the ice rink.

Thank you to the staff for such a...
