We spent our entire day hiking in Zion National park. When we returned to our hotel in St George decided to pay a visit. It was supposed to be a pit stop and we ended up staying there till 11pm. Cool breeze, sunset and beautiful views. Not to forget the city overlook. It’s such a beautiful place to be. People start coming in like from 4pm and end up staying there till 8-9pm. Keep in mind it gets crowded around sunset. So if you want the best seat come in early. It’s a very Good place to hangout with friends and family. It is Kids friendly. You can take your pets as well. Indeed a great place to be. It was a good find. You can park on the either side of it. Also there is parking spot across the road.

Wow, really fun area to scramble around the beautiful red rock of southern Utah on nature’s playground! We loved exploring, hiking, and climbing throughout the park in and around The Dixie Sugarloaf. I’ve seen Dixie painted on the rocks for years when visiting but didn’t realize there was so much to explore and see. We spent an hour before it was blazing hot and could spend much more hiking on the various trails in the area.

Dixie rock is a great place to go for a short hike with or without kids. There are a few other places nearby if you are looking for harder hikes. There is a great bouldering rock in the path up of you’re a rock climber. There are a couple of places that you will need to be sure footed to go up but most people won’t have too hard of a time on the hike. We did take a stroller one time and it’s not a stroller friendly hike.

A great surprise in St. George! Hiked up 1 mile from town. Next to City Hall and then right on Red Hill Trail. Do not cross parkway, especially at night. It is dangeros. Stay on trail, and there is a tunnel under the parkway. Hiking up at dusk was a little teacher ouse in one spot. Shoes with tread are helpful. Be very cautious with small children. Coming down would have been impossible I'm one section without phone. Amazing views, stars, people on top are fun. I love when cities leave wild spaces without railings, but parents MUST be responsible for...

When I first visited this place years ago I felt like it was maybe a little overrated because so many people gather in crowds up on the rock. It’s actually a very good view and there’s a reason people love it. The downside is definitely the amount of people. Last time I was there I saw a marriage proposal happen.
