Ancestor square doesn't remind ME much of MY ancestors. St George is expanding more diverse by the day.(Positive). I don't see much Native, Hispanic/Latino/ others, in the public, business and cultural pool. I read about the exchange of divergence on the alcohal/bar licensing but WE have yet to see the peoples, and the state's/cities view on the exponential and unavoidable topic of our minority based businesses. Yes, the real elephant in the room. How would the minimum wage rate be intergrated, upheld and honored by and within small businesses community? We all know Small business is the machine that wrentches through all, even politics, yet will small business be able to afford this minimum rate? And if so, how will we be able to ensure integrity on behalf of business owners and hard working individuals to obtain the pay rate they deserve without breaking the business owners bank account? Read moreI recently visited Ancestor Square, and it was a fantastic experience! This place is a hidden gem with a rich history and beautiful architecture that makes it a perfect spot for a leisurely day out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a mix of shops, galleries, and restaurants that cater to a variety of tastes.
I spent some time exploring the local art galleries, which showcased some incredible talent from both established and emerging artists. The unique pieces really added to the charm of the square. After browsing, I stopped by a cozy café for a bite to eat. The food was delicious, and I loved the local flavors they incorporated into their menu.
The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that it could get a bit crowded on weekends, which made it harder to fully enjoy the experience. But overall, Ancestor Square is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to soak in some culture and enjoy great food! I can’t wait to go back and...
Read moreThis is such a cute area, and we are so fortunate to live just minutes away from it. You have so many options for food - George's Corner (cafe style), Benja's (Thai and sushi), Pizza and Pasta Factory (self explanatory), Feel Love Cafe (coffee and delicious desserts), Painted Pony (fine dining), and probably more that I don't even know about! The cherry on top of this place is the beautiful layout and the areas outside where you can sit down - it is beautiful and has the perfect little small town, old-timey feel (right outside of the Benja's restaurant entrance). I know they have had bands play in this area as well, and they also host little markets every once in a while. Be aware that some of the restaurants don't take reservations for certain party sizes and some do, so call...
