On Saturday, February 3rd, Cousins Main Lobster (Salt Lake, Ut) food truck came into town, and we ordered ahead on their mobile app to try them out. The sweet thing was that they partnered with Zion Brewery so you could take your food into their establishment. Of course, good business move to get patrons to come on and have a glass of wine, cocktail, beer, or hard cider with their meal....brilliant!! Of course, we did that, duh... ha ha, we love to support our local businesses as much as possible. Whether we live in the city or just visiting.
Review time, I ordered the 'local' hard cider made in Salt Lake City. Mountain West Desolation Prickly Pear Hard cider was delish, the drink paired well with my meal.
I planned on pickling my liver a tad bit in the beginning but ended up not because I remembered we were going on a hike.
However, I love it they have a nice choice of cocktails, beers, hard ciders, wine, and for your designated driver drinks to keep them quenched! There were no bar foods offered that I was aware of or seen. There is popcorn available for purchase.
Definitely will be back their prices are decent for an experienced bartender to hand make your cocktails.
The atmosphere was fun, and since we went during the day slightly lively but not too rowdy. Some faint music may have been playing in the background, but it was not loud enough to drown out conversation.
Clean bathrooms, great setup for seating, and it looks like there will be some fun girl's night out event coming up in the next week in...
Read moreI've been going to the station since it's opening and have always had a great experience. Tonight we were there with a group of 5 people upstairs. I went down to the bar with my friend and I ordered 3 drinks and my friend tried ordering 2 drinks so we could bring all 5 drinks upstairs for everyone. I ordered the 3 drinks first and the manager gave my friend a hard time about ordering 2 drinks because the manager thought we only had 4 people in our party. As I was waiting for my 3 drinks I sat by and watches Thomas be extremely unprofessional to my friend trying to order the two drinks and said he could only order 1 drink. I stepped in and asked Thomas what the problem was and he continued to be rude to us. Long story short I asked Thomas why he was acting that way and he used the excuse of "we have strict laws" I'm from st george and said I understand the rules and that we are just trying to bring all the drinks to our party. He cut me off and took the 3 drinks I never even got and charged me for them. He also charged my friend for the 2 drinks he never even started making. I asked to speak to the manager in charge and he pointed at himself and said he was the manager. I was trying to dispute not paying for the 3 drinks I never received. I've never been treated this way coming here. Thomas does not represent your establishment well and clearly doesn't know what customer service means. I simply ask not to be charged for services that were...
Read moreGreat spot, but disappointing service experience.
I’m visiting from Colorado and was playing a round of golf here in beautiful St. George when I decided to stop by Station 2 for a quick beer before heading back to my hotel. First off, the environment was spectacular—great atmosphere, very clean, and welcoming. The food was honestly amazing, and the drink selection hit the spot.
However, the service experience left a lot to be desired. I’m not sure of her name, but my server had short blonde hair. She seemed clearly unhappy to be there—openly talking about how she had another job, how tired she was, and how she had to be up early. As someone who owns and operates multiple successful businesses, I understand the importance of professionalism, especially in customer-facing roles. Her attitude came off as negative and borderline rude when I asked a few basic questions.
I get that everyone has tough days, and yes, it’s a bar—but when you’re on the clock, your focus should be on creating a positive experience for your guests. Talking about your other job while working this one doesn’t set the right tone. If I were the manager, I’d consider having a serious conversation about expectations and whether this role is the right fit for her. The energy of even one employee can reflect heavily on the business.
That said, I’d absolutely give Station 2 another try—hoping for better service next time because everything else...
