I bought a cabinet bed which calls for minimal assembly. I paid for platinum delivery so I could have it delivered to the room of my choice and get it unpackaged. I started to run into problems as soon as I started assembling. First, the chain backup that keeps the bed together when not in use was left hanging and scratched up the inside of the cabinet as it swung freely. The directions for assembly were just awful. I ran into an issue where four holes hadnât been pre-drilled so I called to make sure this was truly the case. The sales guy said the ops person on call would call me right back and that she would be able to answer my questions. I never got a call back. I figured since it was a Saturday they might be tied up and they would likely call me on Monday. Meanwhile, my neighbor looked at it and agreed the holes hadnât been drilled and he drilled them for me. I continued with assembly until I got to the point where I had to lift the very heavy cabinet onto the drawer base. This was a 3 persons job: 2 to lift the cabinet and the third to crawl on the floor and put the screws in. Got some friends over and they helped me. There were no instructions included on how to open up the bed and the video they have posted on YouTube wasnât for the bed I had. We finally figured out which pieces of wood had to flip down and how to release the legs so it could close back up with the mattress in it. Since I still hadnât received a call back by Tuesday, I called back. No one was picking up so the sales guy was very apologetic and said he would keep trying to get in touch with customer service and that someone would call me back later. I finally got a call back and started to tell the person from customer service about my experience and my frustrations with the poorly written and drawn instructions for setup, the lack of a video and the non-existent directions for opening and closing the bed. She told me they didnât make this bed, they bought them from an overseas vendor and so they couldnât do anything about it. I suggested that since they were selling these beds for thousands of dollars they could make a couple of videos to help customers understand the directions to make it easier to get them assembled. She dismissed this suggestion and told me if I was dissatisfied they would pick up the bed and give me a refund. I was trying to provide feedback on a broken process but just kept being shutdown. I chose to keep the bed because it is a good product once you figure it out. Itâs unfortunate that I had to use my whole touch up pen fixing the damage that was done to the cabinet in transit. Based on the customer service I received, I would not purchase from them again despite it being an...
Read moreOur twin nine-year-old grandchildren (boy and girl) and their parents were moving in with us for two months prior to their overseas posting. The kids were to share a 10 x 8 ft room with one double bed in a chest and a desk. They would have to share the bed and have little room when it was down or one would be forced to sleep on an air mattress leaving no space for movement. The twins were not happy about it and were doubly sad about moving out of their house. My wife's solution? Wilding Wallbeds. She chose the Murphy Bunk Bed. I was all over her decision. Too expensive, unnecessary, kids can live with it, etc. But she persevered and when the kids found out they were getting bunk beds they were ready to move in a month early. We ordered the bed March 15, 2017 and it arrived from St. George, Utah, the first week of May, two weeks before we needed it for the twins. Following the excellent written and video instructions I was able to put together the kit in the small room in four hours, with a little help from my wife and son-in-law. I had to remove all furniture from the room to set up the bunk beds properly but once that was done everything went reasonably well. When I encountered a problem caused by my own bumbling misadventures the people in St. George responded promptly to help me solve it. The Murphy Bunk Beds were an elegant solution to our space problem but the real success story was the twin's response to their bunk beds. They went to bed early just to enjoy their bunks. They disappeared into their bedroom for hours to play and read on their beds. Grandpa and Grandma were never so popular. Our grandchildren left knowing they had a place just for them when returning to the USA. Bring on all future grandkids! We are ready! In October of 2017 we had the pleasure of visiting the Wilding Wall Beds showroom in St. George, Utah, when we flew west from Virginia to attend the Huntsman World Senior Games. We were astonished at the imaginative bed solutions and already have our eye on a wall bed with a huge storage solution to solve another space problem in our...
Read moreMy enthusiasm for my Wilding Wallbed knows no bounds, and I wholeheartedly endorse Wallbeds by Wilding to all. Our quest for the perfect wallbed led us to numerous local dealers, but we were consistently let down by subpar quality or aesthetics. Our search ended when we discovered Wilding online.
After receiving an initial quote, we decided to visit the Chino Hills showroom to verify the quality. It was evident that no other wallbed could rival Wilding's blend of style and functionality. Consequently, we decided to place an order for a Wilding Wallbed.
One of the most impressive aspects of the process was the ability to customize nearly every detail of our wallbed. We had the freedom to choose the layoutâopting between horizontal or vertical orientationsâto best fit our space. Additionally, we explored various stain, color, and lighting options to enhance the functionality and ambiance of the bed. The depth options and cabinet designs were also customizable, allowing us to tailor the bed to our exact specifications and interior design aesthetic.
Our collaboration with Penny, who is based in St. George, UT, was instrumental in getting our bed shipped and installed in San Diego. Penny and her team were exceptional in helping us navigate these customization options. They meticulously adjusted the cabinet dimensions according to our preferences (Brandon was especially quick in modifying the drawings), provided advice on custom pulls (which we had delivered directly to their warehouse), and coordinated seamlessly with our construction team.
The entire experience, from sales and design to delivery and installation, was nothing short of phenomenal. The team was not only professional and courteous but also a pleasure to work with. Their product is truly unparalleled, and I am grateful for their role in transforming my room. Thank you, Wilding Wallbeds, for breathing life into my space and for offering such a personalized,...
