Diamonds Direct — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

This could have been a 5, but unfortunately Stephanie didn’t want our business.

My husband and I are coming up on our 10 year anniversary and we were upgrading my wedding ring. With everything going on with local business being impacted in these trying times we wanted to find a local, quality, and reputable jeweler to do business with.

I found Diamonds Direct based on the high reviews, so we decided to drive from Sarasota to St. Pete to look at the store. We visited the store in December 2021 and met Stephanie. Initially I really liked her and wanted to give her our business. I told her that I was waiting on another local jeweler to show me some design ideas, but one of the wedding sets we saw in DD that was platinum was something I really liked. She wrote down my contact info and details on the ring I selected. She set expectations with me that she would reach out after the holidays. That timeline was fine with me since it was Christmas and I understood how busy she was.

Then after Christmas I reached back out to Stephanie (she never called me) to follow up on the setting I liked and wanted details on pricing. She sent me a quote for a completely different ring in white gold and smaller diamonds. I explained I wanted platinum and BIGGER diamonds. She was going to see what she had and get back to me.

While waiting I even created a DD account to put rings I liked on my wish list and texted her to tell her I created a wish list and wanted to come in on the weekend to see rings similar to things I saved. She texted me back looking forward to seeing us. That weekend we drove to the store on a Sunday and they were closed. NOTE: Nowhere in our conversation did she bother to tell me they were closed on Sunday so we basically drove to St. Pete for nothing.

I was so disappointed. I really wanted to give this local company our business, but this whole ordeal was a complete turnoff.

Arielle Coley was very helpful over the last year ~ from start to finish she was awesome! First, she was able to locate a ring we had seen at a different jewelry store (and only had a picture of it) AND contact the designer for pricing & availability of the very unique engagement ring. It turned into Covid Crazy world around the time we were placing our order (the designer was out of NYC which completely closed) but we were able to get it! Then, after we were engaged we started the search for wedding bands. I ended up with the matching band for me but the designer didn't really do many men's bands and non which FH was interested in. So the search for the perfect man's band was on! Again Arielle was so helpful and kind throughout the process. I found a picture we liked and thankfully she came through again & contacted that designer & we were able to order his ring through her as well. Mind you the pricing we received through Diamonds Direct was extremely competitive AND came in under what we would have paid ordering "online" (even factoring in we are in state & paying tax vs out of state & NOT having to! In addition we aren't local to Jacksonville & mostly worked through email & phone with the exception of 1 drive about 5 hours each way to the store) I have attached pictures mine are the "stock" his is clearly on his hand (his band looks like you took mine & superimposed it into a manly/man ring ~ perfect! I have a gold allergy so mine are platinum & he wanted the gold). OVERALL an excellent experience! WE highly recommend Diamonds...

OMG, I am so lost for words right now. What one company refused to do, Diamonds Direct came through and made it happen. I was given more on my trade in from Diamonds Direct than I expected. Originally was supposed to do business with IDC in Clearwater, whom I have had a 7 year relationship with over $25,000 in business. I went to trade in my wedding band and was given nearly half of what I originally paid. I was treated like a second class citizen and was ignored after sending an email pleading for a better price. I became discouraged that I could find another jeweler that offered such high end products. After careful research, I found Diamonds Direct and immediately called them. I dealt with David Santos from the start of our phone conversation till the end of our transaction. The store is ultra posh with the highest quality of merchandise. I received 24 months interest free with my purchase, free sizing, and a beautiful lighted display box as well. My time was extremely valued as they cleaned my wedding rings, sized the new wedding band, and processed my payment. My total time was less than an hour, I was super impressed.
