Went to the store today to buy a sectional and settled on one, the sales lady was super nice she told us the price we said ok then had to wait for two plus hours to get checked out. extremely long to wait to pay but it was a good deal so sacraficed the wait however there were several others behind the counter that could have helped including the manager sitting on his rump, then to our suprise the price was $1,200 higher than what was quoted when we finally got to the check out process, then insisted they didn't quote that but I had them show me the paper they wrote the numbers on sure enough YES they did! They then admitted they did but it was an error. So asked since we had been in the store now for 3 and half hours if they would make it right as it was their error so the girl (again very nice) asked the manager he acted annoyed and offered a 5% discount, big whoop after we waited patiently for two plus hours to be checked out AFTER deciding on the item then another 30 min to discuss the error by this time I was tired of furniture shopping said we would take it, then said it wouldn't be delivered until mid July so I guess they get to use my money for free for a month and half or two months THEN when I asked if they would haul off old pieces, sure for a charge ....nah thanks just spent a lot of money. I was supposed to leave the store excited about a new purchase instead I left with a bad taste and disappointed in my purchase, my fault because I should have just walked away but after that much time I really had no time to go somewhere else as I only get a day off a week. The manager should have gotten his butt off the chair and came and spoke with us personally over such an error instead he sits there and has the ladies do it, poor management for such a big error and having a customer wait all that time, did I expect them to eat the whole 1200 absolutely not, though technically they did quote a price but to offer a 5% discount and act like they were doing a huge favor. Going to sleep on it decide if I want to spend another day shopping elsewhere and cancel it first thing tomorrow.

Read moreUPDATE: the customer service at this store needs to be recognized. They are great about under promise/over deliver! Furniture ordered on Saturday (expectation set of a week for shipping and then they would schedule delivery). Furniture was delivered Wednesday-4 days later. That evening we noticed a mechanical flaw in one of our pieces-messaged Mel and literally within less than an hour parties had been contacted for repair. Expectation set-part would be shipped to our home in 1-2 weeks and then technician would come for repair. Reality-parts arrived by Saturday, I messaged to notify them monday morning and it is now Tuesday 1pm and all is fixed! Delivery guys (didnt get their names) and Eli the technician were great. They have an amazing team. Buy from here, you wont be disappointed!
Walked in JUST to sit in a few sofas as we are in the market for new. Was immediately approached by the amazing smile and spirit of Melina and we ended the day with buying a set completely opposite of what we thought we wanted and with a few more bells and whistles. First off, Melina is AMAZING! She is so kind and not your typical "sales person." She checked in on us through out our visit, made helpful suggestions, and let us roam at our leisure. She offered us cold water and was just genuinely a gem. We didn't plan on making final decisions or purchases that day so we left. Little did we know, Melina had won us over and we knew we had to go back and complete the purchase with her-so we did later that same day. We are now the soon to be proud owners (as soon as its delivered) of a very nice zero gravity love seat and couch that will be such a blessing on our old tired bodies. They have a very nice large selection to choose from and the options were almost exhausting but once we found the one we liked-we knew. Read moreBuyers beware. This store sells low quality furniture, and SECOND-HAND mattresses and represents them as NEW. I went in to look around for a new living room set and all that I could find were the cheap particle board items. If I asked what wood was used in construction that's the only answer that I got. I also wanted a new Tempur-Pedic mattress, and they had many beds the lady was trying to sell to my wife and I that were fishy... They will claim they are "small locally owned store" but they are a part of ASHLEY HOME STORE which is a nationwide corporate store with corporate greed. Pretty laughable.
After 30 minutes of looking without any help we were approached by a woman. She was less concerned about what bed would be perfect for us, and more concerned with making a big commision. Right out of the gate she started telling us the prices and which beds were cheaper. She told us the sheets Ashley sells were not very good, and to buy them elsewhere if we wanted linens. Not very professional? She was offering a discount on the bed we wanted when everywhere else we have looked the Tempur-Pedic mattresses are the same price. When I asked her how she was offering a discount she told me that they could sell me a mattress that was a return from another customer. "They returned it after only 1 day and you won't have a warranty" is what she told us. I will be reporting this store to Tempur-Pedic. The lady did not seem to know anything about any of the beds.
I would recommend checking out the other mattress stores in Salina. We purchased our bedroom set from the store down the road and could not be more pleased with their knowledge, their kindness and how they conducted business.
